POV tag
[edit]About 12 KB of text on this page was added by QueensMuseum (talk · contribs) almost 7 years ago. (See diff.) It still has, for the most part, not been cleaned up. Epic Genius (talk) 23:15, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Unless you have some evidence that the material is biased, that's a COI problem with the editor, not a neutrality problem with the article. Removing tag again, no evidence of POV. Please don't restore it without evidence of lack of neutrality, not suspicion of possible lack of neutrality. BMK (talk) 23:23, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oops, I meant {{COI}}. I got confused with the POV and COI tags. Epic Genius (talk) 23:25, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- How about no tag at all? You're obviously editing the article extensively, how about cleaning up the problems you see instead of tagging it and waiting for another editor to fix it. In general, tagging is a third-rate form of Wikiediting. BMK (talk) 23:28, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- I am cleaning up minor problems. In the meantime, though,r I may not have time to clean up the article extensively, given what I have to do IRL. Epic Genius (talk) 23:31, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

I plan to contribute about the World's Fair exhibit or create a section about the World's Fair exhibit/display and connect it briefly to the history of the Queen's Museum itself, and what the exhibit displays. Resource 1 is just to briefly discuss how the world's fair occurred at the Queen's Museum before it became known as the Queen's Museum, and to show a part of what the World's fair exhibit represents. Resource 2 is to show what the exhibit display's and its relation to the historical significance of the World's fair. More resources and Citations will be added to better elaborate on this visible display/exhibit and its historical significance. Feel free to add or comment information about this talk/change. Thanks SuchSingh79 (talk) 02:57, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Hype
[edit]Museum employees/promoters should at least learn the rules and style of Wikepedia before filling this page with unsourced self-promotion.E.M.Gregory (talk) 13:27, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- I reverted your undiscussed deletion. First, you didn't even give other editors a chance to find sources. Also, you could have simply paraphrased the text instead, if indeed there is merit to your unsourced and bad faith claim that some editors might have had a conflict of interest. 66.55.12.1 (talk) 18:11, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- I have removed a section of material again, after removing this and other large blocks of material that has been sitting, unsourced for years. Wikipedia is not an advertising venue. Staff at many museum and public attractions in general often add this sort of advertising to the page. Note that i have no objection at all if someone wants ot do the work of finding WP:RS - like newspapers - covering the educational and other programs run by the Museum. But it is entirely according to Hoyle to reduce large blocks of self-PROMOMTION fomr pages. If you want it on the page, source it.E.M.Gregory (talk) 18:44, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- OK, I just saw the section above by Epic Genius. Never mind. 66.55.12.1 (talk) 19:05, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Right. I should have referred you up the page. I just removed a bit about tours of the scale model (pure advert) and a large section on special exhibits. Few special exhibits are notable. If any of these were, editors should feel free to add material on them to the page but only if it can be reliably sourced. In general, information on museum special exhibits past can be found on the museum's own website. Only when there is significant coverage do we add them to the Museum's Wikipedia page. (I do want to mention that I have created a number of Wikipedia articles on special exhibits at large and at small museums. Some special exhibits are noteworthy. Most aren't.)E.M.Gregory (talk) 19:45, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
