The last child from the first marriage

[edit]

Maria Pia died, that's clear. I don't know her age. But I'm very sure, the child was a girl and named Augusta. The references are given on the bottom of the article.

--AndreaMimi (talk) 14:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maria Pia died at the age of 33. There are apparently conflicting references about the sex of her last child; references for both "positions" are given. - Nunh-huh 14:40, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

@Nunh-huh

I search something about Maria Pia and find out, the she was born in 1849 and died 1882. So you are right with the age of 33.

I have some little troubles on my user page. I can't put a picture there. Please help me again.

With the best wishes. --AndreaMimi (talk) 14:57, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Henrietta from the second marriage

[edit]

She was deaf and died umarried. Henrietta was the only child from the second marriage with an illness.

Does somebody know, what illness the children from the first marriage had ? --AndreaMimi (talk) 13:58, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disabled children

[edit]

According to this post at alt.talk.royalty, by Guy Stair Sainty, Fragile X syndrome was the likely reason Robert of Parma had so many retarded children. Does anyone know of a scholarly source I could cite for this point? Coemgenus 21:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC) .[reply]

This family is a passion for me, because I love genetic and royal families. Please, if someone knows why do Robert's first marriage's children were mentally retarded, post the answer here. There's a photo in which there are many Robert's children, can someone write their names (from left to right), because I can find in this photo only Roberto, His second wife Maria Antonia and Zita. The link is this: http://www.answers.com/topic/empress-zita-with-her-parents-and-siblings-jpg. Thank you very much. IT'S VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME BECAUSE I NEEDS THESE INFORMATIONS FOR MY STUDIES (excuse me for the grammar mistakes, but I'm Italian) --84.222.154.125 (talk) 19:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Family

[edit]

I gave the informations about his children in a table. And in the article of his wifes too.

Now it looks better for the eyes. ;)

Sorry, I havn't all the birthdays and deathdays, but I try to research and post it as soon as possible. --AndreaMimi (talk) 15:23, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All that information can be found here. john k (talk) 16:05, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

@john k

Very well. Thank you for the link. You are very, very helpfull.

I take the informations and put it on the right place in the table.

Have a nice evening. --AndreaMimi (talk) 16:25, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Learning difficulties?

[edit]

The table of Robert's children refers to several of them as having learning difficulties. This appears to be overly euphemistic and in fact inaccurate, given that elsewhere in the article they are described as being mentally retarded. A learning difficulty would be something like dyslexia, which is a very different situation. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:05, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On June 28, 2010, an anonymous editor changed "was mentally retarded" to "had learning difficulties". Noel S McFerran (talk) 02:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Noel, would you recommend that it be changed back? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:04, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I removed all the references to "learning difficulties" because of the inaccurate euphemism situation discussed above. I suspect that the appropriate description should be something like these individuals having been mentally retarded, but (a) I don't have sources for that, and (b) this is a sensitive subject that I don't want to treat inaccurately. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:43, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
