Delete. The author's book has never been given a good review by anyone other than his fans and has not been seriously evaluated by mainstream critics. There is no indication that the book had significant sales volume. Most of his press in major publications was nothing more than "What's on TV This Week" articles. All indications are that his "lectures" are book promo or reality TV star appearances and not related to the Hope's Voice lectures. While the Hope's Voice material indicates he discusses serious issues related to combat, the author avoids politics, seldom makes more than a vague allusion to PTSD issues, and his book is little more than a surface chronology of an unremarkable tour of duty that only tokenly stumbles upon a few moments of greater truth. As for a reality star, Conklin denies that his is a celebrity and is pursuing a career to work behind the camera and denies he will ever write another book. Wiki should not be turned into a fansite for insignificant authors or flash-in-the-pan reality stars--there are plenty of other places on the internet for that. Conklin may merit a bio page one day, but for now, allowing him to have one just inflates the importance of an individual who has yet to become noteworthy while simultaneously deflating the integrity of Wikipedia.
