[edit]I restored content deleted by User:Beagel as no logical reasons for deleting info on all assets except DTEK were provided. I as well edited some of my previous inserts which may seem promotional. --Orekhova (talk) 08:54, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- The pure list of subsidiaries was removed per WP:NOT. If they are notable, they should be mentioned, but long lists does not belong to article. The article should not include every possible details about the company, but only the information with encyclopedic value.
- I also removed a lot of information which seemed to have only promotional value. The biggest problem with this article is that it does not provide reliable third party sources. The company is notable and deserves better coverage than just the corporate PR article. Beagel (talk) 09:03, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- It looks weird of you to blame me in promoting the company and at the same time to remove most of the content backed up by third party sources, leaving only two references, leading to the corporate website. I don't think, CSR part is unnecessary here, taking into account a small amount of Ukrainian companies involved. I also don't agree that you removed the list of subsidiaries, as SCM is one of the biggest companies in Ukraine, and the list here was for display purposes, as each reference led to corresponding article in Wiki. --Orekhova (talk) 14:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Including the whole list of subsidiaries is not the usual practice and, as it was referred above, it is not in line with the WP:NOT policy. As a rule, only information about the most important subsidiaries are included. In some cases, e.g. in the case of Gazprom, there is a separate article called List of the subsidiaries of company X or something similar. I have nothing against if similar list is created for SCM, if there will be proofs that the list is notable. But in any case, it should be separate list, not a section in this article.
- As for CSR section, you first addition was clearly too promotional and read like paid corporate advertising. It is ok with the current section; however, these sections are usually most problematic as heavily used for corporate promotional spam. I strongly disagree with your accusation of removing reliable sources—what was removed was blatant corporate promotion and most of these texts were sourced from the corporate related sources. I also think that it would be useful if you will disclosure your (potential) conflict of interest regarding Mr Akhmetov and his companies. Another editor raised your potential POV and COI issues at the Rinat Akhmetov's talk page and, looking your edit history, these concerns may have justification. Therefore, it would be avoid further accusations, if you could please clarify this issue. Thank you. Beagel (talk) 16:10, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've looked at the ex-CSR section, and it's ok with me. Thank you for advice on list of subsidiaries, I will probably do it that way. As for Lvivske accusations, I would rather not discuss his actions as he in his turn looks very biased to me. But let's leave this apart. Thank you for your comments again. --Orekhova (talk) 16:20, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Your potential conflict of interest is indeed something that should be noted. 'Accusations' or not, the bias in your editorial style is pretty apparent across all articles you cover. I wasn't the first, or only person to raise this question so why you name me, and call me biased is odd.--Львівське (говорити) 20:45, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
