AGED PICTURE
[edit]Picture is quite old, more then 3 years ago (2008) , and according to wikipedia rules need to be updated.
Moreover the guy, currently serving hit seven year jail sentence, has become remarkably thinner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.193.20 (talk) 15:37, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Mafia association
[edit]Missing the news that in 2012 Cuffaro was acquitted in the trial for mafia association (read on).--Civa61 (talk) 19:15, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Civa61 Thanks for starting this discussion. You removed the "conviction=" field and left the "charge=" field. This suggests that all charges were overturned. Where the (read on) link above seems to imply that new charges could not be made and that the old conviction still stands. Machine translations of that article and ref 1 are not that clear. What still stands in the way of conviction? Is he still in prison? Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 20:52, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- And acquitted also by Supreme Court (2013) [1]. Cuffaro has been condemnend by the Supreme Court for aiding and abetting the mafia (2011), not for more severe external support to mafia (2013), or for mafia association (no process).--Civa61 (talk) 21:04, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, it is still in prison.--Civa61 (talk) 21:07, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Cuffaro has written a book about his experience in prison [2]. In December 2013 had asked to be assigned to social services and finish his sentence in an institution of charity in Palermo. The judges, however, rejected the request [3].--Civa61 (talk) 21:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

CIVA, your efforts at "blanking out" data related to Cuffaro's Criminal history are amazing. You are still trying to mislead people, and you are doing intentionally. The sentence you mention does not acquit Cuffaro, it is related to ANOTHER trial and just states that due to the principle of "ne bis idem" he cannot be tried twice for the same facts, for which he has already beign convicted. The old definitive and final convictions stand. You are just trying to play on the fact that people cannot read italian articles.
JIM, if you deem it appropriate, after reading again all this, can we start some sort of disciplinarian procedure in order to block CIVA from doing further edits on mafia-related articles, being proved the ill intensions of CIVA to "wilfully mislead" other users and editors ? - The facts for which you could try, as said the judge Grasso, who sent him to trial, only aiding and abetting the Mafia, and not for the external support to the mafia. The subsequent trial acquitted Cuffaro with this accusation, because the facts brought in support of the prosecution, were the same as the first trial and then acquitted for Ne bis idem. (Not even respond to insults.) --Civa61 (talk) 21:47, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
o_O Eh !? Could you please make an effort and write in English not in sicilian ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 23:45, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
