- @PRagyaa2023:, Well, I appreciate your work and thank you for your contribution so far. I have looked up the article and I noticed that articles first second paragraph is not necessary i.e Patan hospital and contact number. That makes article slightly promotional in nature and it is better to add definition of suicide given by the government of Nepal. Fade258 (talk) 03:17, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the prompt response. I appreciated it. You make a good point that sharing information's about Patan hospital and contact number could appear slightly promotional. My reason to add the number is: often the helpline numbers are not widely disseminated. Many people in my own circle do not know that such hotline numbers exist in Nepal. As Wikipedia is a widely used source, I thought perhaps adding a trigger warning and sharing numbers could help someone in immediate crisis. Please let me know what you think. I wonder if I should remove the name of the hospital and just post the number. Alternatively, I can also add sentences explicitly noting that these are not promotional content.
- Interesting point about adding a definition given my the government of Nepal. Based on my quick search, I was not able to find a definition but please feel free to point me to the right direction so I can add that in. I think it would be helpful to add the definition and also see if/how it contrasts with other definitions.
- Looking forward to your response. Thank you once again for the feedback!

- Hello again Pragyaa. The issue is not promotion. We just don't add warnings to top of articles. It's an encyclopedia. You look up an article, you should see a summary of what's known about the topic, no matter how uncomfortable, no matter how offensive to some. The number can be added to a section such as "Suicide prevention" provided it's not you saying the number is special. We need a source to say it is an important number in relation to suicide prevention in Nepal.
- On to the main issue, it appears to me, you are doing a lot of WP:SYNTH. You can't use a source that has nothing to do with Suicide in Nepal to say "Mental health problems are one of the main reasons of suicide". Then use another source to say "Nepal has no good mental health service". Then a third source to conclude "This is why suicide is bad in Nepal". Because, it is you drawing a connection between these things, none of the sources actually did. In effect, you are doing original research on why suicide is bad in Nepal. I urge you to look into that.
- The lead is too long. Information needs to be consensed or moved to the body of the article. Best, Usedtobecool ☎️ 05:23, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you! Got it. I appretiate this feedback. I will try to edit the sources accordingly. And to your very important point about the prevention helplines, I will add the numbers (along with sources) to the prevention section that talks about government efforts to suicide prevention in Nepal. Please give me a couple of days to make these edits:)
- Thank you PRagyaa2023 (talk) 01:07, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
- Take as long as you like. I am, right now, trying to help you. If I feel a hurry, it will be after you leave, if you leave after your course is done. I am hoping you will learn stuff, like what you learn, and stick around. Best, Usedtobecool ☎️ 11:07, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
