Morocco

[edit]

Why, Morroco is always every country?, Morocco is only with the curent dynasty. Morocco is a sunni country, not are shia country, and there is not any kind of sequence beethwen Idrisid (shia, but le legal sucessor was Hammunidid dynasty), later was Almoravids (the legal sucessor is Banu Ganiyah)..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.131.21.173 (talk) 19:26, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Completely agree. This template should be renamed to Spanish-North African conflicts or something similar Stoni (talk) 13:03, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What is the "Second Reconquista"??

[edit]

To begin with, the term "Reconquista" is agreed by most scholars nowadays to be a fake and historically unaccurate term in terms of the conflict that ended in 1492 with the dissolution of the Nazari dynasty in Granada. This would anyways be the "first" reconquista. Now, "Second Reconquista"??? I as a Spaniard living in Spain since my birth have never ever heard such a term neither in Spanish nor in English, even when studying the events of the time. No source cites these wars as part of a supposed "second" reconquering. Therefore, I have supplanted the term with "Spanish wars on Morocco" because that's what they were, invasions carried out with the least provocation from Morocco.
