Greetings! I've been at Wikipedia since the spring of 2006, and work on a variety of topics, mostly in the life sciences and Canadian issues. I also do some Recent Changes patrol. I am User:Clayoquot on Wikimedia Commons.
Articles to which I've made big contributions include:
- Sea otter, the only thing on this list that I consider done. So many Wikipedia articles, so little time...
- Downtown Eastside
- Killer whale - too complex a topic to ever really be done, but this is pretty close
- Sea otter conservation
- Michael Bigg - I wish we had a Category:Brilliant unpaid scientists and a Category:Brilliant scientists who never won an award
- Delayed sleep phase syndrome
- Luna (killer whale) and Springer (killer whale). One of my saddest experiences on Wikipedia has been lacking the energy to fight back against conflict-of-interest editing in these articles, which in my opinion made them deteriorate to the point where I can't bear to read them.
- Polar bear
- North Shore Rescue - A previous version was speedy-deleted because saying that a group saves people's lives apparently doesn't count as "asserting the importance or significance of the subject".
- Oliver Schroer
- Carles Puyol
I've also had lots of fun collaborating on Common Raven, Humpback Whale, Cougar, and Lion
Articles I've gotten undeleted:
- Simon Fraser University 1997 harassment controversy - long, long story recorded in two DRVs, three AfDs, and elsewhere
- Luna (L98) - a strange A7 there
- Colonisation of Africa - was vandalized and then speedied
In real life, I am a woman in Vancouver and work as a freelance user experience designer. Clayoquot Sound (pronounced "clack-wot", not "clay-o-quot"), is a beautiful wilderness area on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Here area few userboxes from back when I was into userboxes.
