deadlyMETAL is the lead guitarist of American New Progressive rock band And In The Day She Walks, and digital artist (primarily working with Apophysis and Photoshop CS2) on deviantART. He goes by his signature online handle of "deadlyMETAL" or "deadlyMETAL86" in almost every instance of online registry, and oftentimes in band-related work. He is also the current owner of the CZ Forums (position given to him by former owner "Delta"), as well as the founder and overall manager of the Death Fire Association. He is also the writer of the documentation regarding his interpretation of the "Blood Magus", titled by the same name.
And In The Day She Walks
[edit]And In The Day She Walks is a 4-piece "New Progressive" rock band originating from the Mid-Michigan area. The band currently holds a profile on both MySpace and Facebook.
On March 13, 2009 the band's lead guitarist, vocalist, and drummer filled in for a band for the 2009 Dow High School Battle of the Bands. The set list consisted of all covers, including "Woman" by Wolfmother, "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, "Glycerine" by Bush, and "Crossroads" by Eric Clapton. This subsequently earned the band and its members some recognition from local bands like The Shady Civilians and Archana.

Last Caress
[edit]deadlyMETAL started his vision of metal band Last Caress between 2005 and 2006, and began to seek out those with common musical interests in 2007. The initial lineup of the band lacked a drummer and a bassist. It had been at one point discussed with rhythm guitarist "B4k4" that he might switch to being a drummer, either part-time or full-time, depending on how likely any prospects for a drummer might show up. Originally, "Shinigami564" was labeled the band drummer and "Shafty Jr" the bassist.
To date, deadlyMETAL had composed more than 25 original, mostly incomplete works for the band, although only one, titled Devious Metal Song, ever made it to group-working phase. Several pieces were heavy metal compositions, while the bulk of them are focused around a more rock feel.
In 2008, two mp3s were uploaded to their Ultimate Guitar profile page, titled "Parkour" and "Feelings Don't Get Hurt", respectively. (Neither of these recordings had been previously composed.) One featured a spoken vocal track from Voice of America online radio backed by a single metal guitar riff, and the other featured a drum track accompanying an overdubbed dual-guitar part. deadlyMETAL played and recorded the guitars of both songs, and has been working with B4k4 to finish a new release of "Parkour" that would feature B4k4 speaking the vocal part.
After a few discussions in November and December, the band name was in jeopardy of being altered, as a Misfits song shares this name, and the members agreed they would rather not be known by a name shared by a preexisting song. Eventually the band lineup, intended genre, and name changed completely to what became And In The Day She Walks.
Playing Style and Influence
[edit]deadlyMETAL uses a significant amount of classical guitar left-hand technique when playing, and draws most of his influence from guitarists like Steve Vai and Matt Tuck, and from musical bands like the Foo Fighters, Metallica, and In Flames. His playing style is reminiscent of Vai's style, fluid and varied.

Supporter of Wikipedia
[edit]deadlyMETAL is also an avid supporter of Wikipedia and various Wikipedia-related projects. He is currently, however, only involved as a participant in one Wikipedia project, for the Classical Compositions taskforce.
The Cool Zone
[edit]- (Also, the "CZ".)
The Cool Zone, or the CZ, is a message board that was created on InvisionFree.com message board hosting service, and has since switched to Zetaboards. The site has had a several-year-long history, which has seen many members and events. The precise history of the site is quite obscure, but much of the board that existed before the switch to Zetaboards has been retained on the site as part of the normal forums. The CZ has had several managers in the past, most recently being Delta, and currently deadlyMETAL.
The First Introduction to the Blood Magus
[edit]A text-based RPG entitled "The power of three" that was started on the CZ in 2008 featured the debut of deadlyMETAL's concept of the "Blood Magus". This character class/occupation type was first shown to be a masterful mage who relied on blood as a medium to spawn fire-based magic, clearly for the purpose of destruction and the taking of life. However, the Blood Magus (named Clyde Machine) has recently begun to show more capabilities of the Blood Magi, including the use of blood to create ice, and to spawn plant life.[1][2]
The Blood Magus has been a small project of sorts for deadlyMETAL, who has been developing the details of his vision of the grand mage since 2007. The documentation consists of the Classes and Ranks, descriptions of Blood Magi and their ways, and the processes by which will transform a person into a Blood Magus. It keeps an underlying tone of darkness and foreboding whenever it describes the nature of a Blood Magus or when explaining how to become one; it is said throughout the documentation that the process is "gruesome", and that one must give up their "past, present, and future" to wear the robes of a Blood Magus.
Death Fire Association
[edit]- (Also, "D.F.A." or "Clan Deathfire".)
deadlyMETAL is the founder of the Death Fire Association, formerly named "Clan Deathfire". The origins of Clan Deathfire were on a message board titled "Paradox6", which featured a text-based clan system. The clan held the most strength throughout the duration of the clan feature of the site, even through various name and location changes.
After an extensive series of site changes, the site disbanded and members went their separate ways. The clan name was changed to "The Death Fire Association" after the creation of the Neo Turks by B4k4, originally a tactical force unit that worked in close conjunction with the D.F.A. that has since expanded and/or altered it's interests.
After all of the remaining members of the Death Fire Association began to focus their online attention on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the group was established as an in-game guild, by the same name, by user Bailon (Shafty Jr, also of Michigan parkour Team Shafty 24/7). D.F.A. member account names did not reflect those of their common nicknames. For example, deadlyMETAL played under the name Canispromi (intended to be "Canis Promi"). (The D.F.A. and it's members played on a private server, due to lack of the necessity to provide proper funding to support public-server use.) The D.F.A. guild was/is Alliance based, whereas the counterpart Neo Turks guild was/is for the Horde alternates for each of the D.F.A. members.
The members of both guilds have since moved to various other private servers, most notably on Spermik.info.
Neo Turks
[edit]deadlyMETAL's close associate B4k4 is credited with the founding and maintaining of the Neo Turks. The exact intentions and purpose of the Neo Turks, also referred to as the "N7" (the "7" is intended to be representative of the "T", as is B4k4's commonplace tendencies to incorporate 1337 into such things as names and titles), is not at this time public knowledge.
As of December 2008, it was decided that the Horde character alternates for the D.F.A. players of WoW: TBC would be lead as a separate guild by B4k4, which would be named The Neo Turks. The guild has yet to be established, however, due to the lack of a properly filled out guild charter.
As above noted, the members of the Neo Turks have since left Rebirth of Deceived Realm for other locations.
