The Dolma Lhakang Temple is a monastery in Chamdo.
Situation
[edit]The Temple is situated in the Chamdo region of Kham, Tibetan Autonomous Region.
History
[edit]Dolma Lhakhang is the seat of Akong Tulku Rinpoche. He resided there from the age of four, receiving teachings in religion and traditional Tibetan Medicine. The original temple was very inaccessible, and is now used as a retreat house, while a new temple was built a few miles down the valley from the original, in a more accessible area; the new temple was opened in 2009[1]
