Denis G. Maki
Denis G. Maki is a distinguished American Infectious Disease physician and is a professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and is currently the head of the section of infectious diseases. Dr. Maki earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and completed his residency at Boston City Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed two years at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as an Epidemic Intelligence officer (EISO)[1].
Dr. Maki researches hospital acquired infections and has focused on areas such as the prevention of intravascular catheter-related bacteremia and has introduced inovative methods that have reduced the morbidity from these infections [2][3].
