IDignity is a non-profit organization in Downtown Orlando that helps homeless and disenfranchised citizens reacquire their identification cards and birth certificates. Since the organization was founded in 2008[1], it has helped thousands of people reclaim their identities despite increased regulation and costs[2].
IDignity was founded and receives continued support from five downtown churches: The Cathedral of St. Luke, First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, First United Methodist Church of Orlando, St. James Cathedral in Orlando, and Trinity Lutheran Church[3][4]. The organization is run by 2011 Central Floridian of the Year, Michael Dippy[5][6].
