//This nice command returns your username in most of, you know, boring computer prompts with no GUI, and white-on-black writings in it. So, as I've run this command, I'll execute the explanation about my username. Forgive me if you don't really care.
Indubitably, I am not Socrates' cat. Did it blow your mind ? Well, after all we're all here to learn things, right ?
After this bad attempt at humor, let me rewind back to the start. I am not Socrates' cat, for two main reasons :
- First of all, we know that Socrates is long dead unless the contrary has been proven, and as the life expectancy of a cat is significantly lower than a human's one, we may assume that Socrates' cat is dead as well.
- Secondly, we don't really know if Socrates had a cat. Know what ? Let's check the Socrates wikipedia page...
... Well, apparently that information, nonetheless of capital interest, is still unknown at the time.
And that is why me, as an insignificant individual, citizen, member of the human race and inhabitant of our beloved Earth (by ascending order of importance), considers that every bit of knowledge possible must be shared and rendered accessible (hence free). Improving yourself in the way of learning new things is the most sacred thing in my eyes, so, dear stranger who happened to have been walking your eyes among this few unpretentious lines, I wish thou a pleasant journey on Wikipedia, and may the Knowledge be with you. I can't resolve myself to retain your attention more than acceptable, so fare thee well. I have bothered you enough by the time you read this.
As of the reasons behind my choice of this pseudonym (because that's initially what I was writing for), well obviously I like cats because I have probably been infected with toxoplasma gondii, or simply envy the way of life of theirs, except that dominating the world part (looks a bit too much). Socrates' cat (if it existed) must have been very pleased with his existence as the companion of a wise, respected philosopher in Ancient Greece, in the city that would be known later for being the first democracy of the world.
In any case, and as the most important bit of writing of this page, remember Socrates said this :
"All I know, is that I know nothing."
Other (maybe) interesting facts

I am a young French woman living in the vicinity of Paris, like millions of my compatriots. As a result, I like good wine, good meals, and complaining about whatever happens in the political life of my country. This is my devoir as a proud French, but this has nothing to do with Wikipedia.
I also do try to understand computers as a living. You may have remarked this.
I am open to (courteous) criticism, and if you've got a subject of attention for me to look into, feel free to slide in my Talk page.
