These are whales and dolphins I've seen in on whale-watching cruises. I note the dates in order to show (in the future) the frequencies.

- Northern Minke Whale, Balaenoptera acutorostrata
- 8/20/05 (1 individual, far away, fin)
- 5/09/11 (1 or two individuals, spouts, humps, and fins)
- Humpback Whale, Megaptera novaeangliae
- 8/20/05 (3-4 individuals, humps, tails, open mouths, very close to the boat)
- 7/29/09 (2 individuals, humps, swimming in front of the SBX-1)
- Fin Whale, Balaenoptera physalus
- Family Eschrichtiidae
- Grey whale, Eschrichtius robustus
- 2/25/18 (2 individuals engaged in unihemispheric sleep while swimming)

- 8/17/08 (about a dozen (fins only) in a pod at Midway Atoll)
- 4/19/09 (swam with the Hawaii race of Spinners)

- 7/11/09 (swimming alongside the SBX-1)
- 2/25/18 (swimming alongside and in front of tour boat)
