Vandal Counter
[edit]Sorry. Please do not remove your counter on my account. I was only joking. Regards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.105.26.143 (talk • contribs).
- I have decided to remove it for two reasons: it has been the target vandalism a few times in the past and the number of times your userpage is vandalized isn't something worth advertising. --24fan24 (talk) 19:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
PlayToy Magazine
[edit]I thought it was a legit article on a controversial site. EpicFailGuy 04:38, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't feel this article meet the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability (web). If you can assert the site's notability please edit the article and/or make your case on the article's talk page. --24fan24 (talk) 04:43, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Re:Notability of Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas
[edit]Hello, thanks for the info. I was just about to add a little more to the article until I noticed that a template was placed, stating that it met the criteria for deletion. The company is notable by the way. I will continue to expand the article.
Take care -Krytan 05:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry if I tagged the article before you got a chance to assert the company's notability. If you can establish its notability, it should not be deleted. --24fan24 (talk) 05:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Helpme
[edit]I've been working on the genocide portal. My issue is, though, that I can't successfully get an article or picture to appear on the page when I want it to. Please help me with that. Thanks. --EricSRodrigues154 23:00, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't really know how the 'news section' of the portal opperates. Is it like a carosel of top 10 articles and just loops through them each time you click on new selection?
Please RSVP on my talk. Thanks. --EricSRodrigues154 23:25, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
PNC Template
[edit]Hi. You removed the template from WP:N. I'd prefer not to revert you; however, the contents of the template are under active discussion at the template talk page, at the TfD page, and at WP:N. Removing the template and the tag demonstrating the disagreement does not help us in trying to draw more discussion. The current text reflects a compromise which has endured for several weeks, while a large discussion is in progress. Would you please consider reverting your change and joining with us in productive discussion? Your fresh perspective will be very welcome. --Kevin Murray 03:27, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for that. I removed {{pnc}} because I had mistaken it for {{Tfd}}. I had thought that the "The template below has been proposed for deletion." message was refering to the fact that that section has been disputed. Perhaps Template:Tfd should be placed in noinclude tags or Template:pnc should be substed to WP:N and the tfd message should be removed. I think the tfd message's inclusion makes the page busy and difficult to read. --24fan24 (talk) 03:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! Please let me know whether you want any background on the template project. --Kevin Murray 03:42, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Would you object to Template:Pnc being substed and the tfd message removed? --24fan24 (talk) 03:43, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- (funny I was writing you back and we edit conflicted) Per your comments on the presentation, you are quite right, but the debate over the key issues was so contentious that I don't think anyone wanted to start a side debate on the tagging method. The TfD is coming to a conclusion, so resolution should be achieved in a day or two. --Kevin Murray 03:46, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think that a courteous and thinking person such as yourself should get into the discussion. --Kevin Murray 03:48, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll check it out when I get a chance. If we just copy the text of the template into WP:N I don't think it would be the topic of much controversy. What do you think? 24fan24 (talk) 03:52, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Clearly, but that is not the sole purpose of the template. The template was proposed to allow inclusion (transclusion) among the various notability sub-guidelines, where similar but subtly varying versions of the message were replicated. This is the source of the controversy. It is almost like the perpetual US struggle between Federal hegemony and States' rights. --Kevin Murray 03:56, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, in reading the tfd I see why this content is in a template. --24fan24 (talk) 03:55, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- No worries! So are you for the Union or are you going to make me whistle Dixie? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kevin Murray (talk • contribs).
- Sorry, but I'm feeling delete. Best of luck though. --24fan24 (talk) 04:05, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- If you've thought it through and are deleting based on the concept rather than the current content, you've made a respectable choice. There is a lot of rhetoric from both sides. Cheers and to a better WP! --Kevin Murray 05:04, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Corona Schröter and Johann Adam Hiller
[edit]Hello 24fan24! I am currently working on the Johann Hiller article and came across your article on Corona Schröter in which you write "Hiller, an operatic composer, had become seriously frustrated with the inadequate education offered to women. To remedy this, in 1771, Hiller opened his own school. In this coeducational setting, students learned a wide variety of musical subjects, including solfège, diction, technique, Italian, and the keyboard." I was wondering if you could please give a citation for the fact that Hiller started his school in order to improve the education for women? I was always under the impression that Hiller wanted to improve the education for women and men alike, but I might be mistaken here. Thanks for your help and your great article! Best regards, Matthias Röder 15:25, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- I actually created that article through the AFC process on behalf of Liller (talk • contribs). Hopefully Liller can help you out. --24fan24 (talk) 19:36, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Articles for creation needs your help! | |
WikiProject Articles for creation has done a tremendous job in working at WP:AFC over the past 7½ months. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication! Together, we've made the submission process easier and more streamlined, developed tools to make the process go faster for reviewers, and cut the backlog down to a mere fraction of what it once was. Well done! As you all are aware, however, our work is not quite yet done. The project still has 10 archive pages left to complete, which include over half a month's worth of submissions, many of which have not been completely reviewed. We need your help to finish looking over these neglected submissions so that we can finally remove the backlog notice from the page, and put an end to the more than two year old backlog that has been a thorn in our side for ages! Participants will receive an AFC Barnstar, so hurry up and help out while there's still work to be done! Make sure to sign in on the WikiProject's talk page so we know who is involved in what promises to be our final effort to complete this goal. Thank you for all your help! |

Redirect of Jack Of All Trades(CD)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jack Of All Trades(CD), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jack Of All Trades(CD) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jack Of All Trades(CD), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. - I have seen you have taken interest in other EMS related articles and we currently will be doing a GA/article improvement on Emergency medical service it will be our first project as a task force and would love your input and editing, Cheers! Medicellis (talk) 00:46, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
AfC news
[edit]Dear AfC participant,
- Msgj and Tnxman307 are organising the AfC challenge! It's a little competition to help improve some of the articles created through AfC and we are hoping that everyone will get involved. For level 1, you just need to bring a stub up to Start-class. Level 2 is improving a Start-class article to C-class. And so on. To get involved or for more information please see the competition page.
- Those of you who haven't reviewed an article recently might not have noticed the new process that was implemented this year. Reviewing articles is now more enjoyable than ever :) You might like to give it a try. All articles waiting for review are in Category:Pending Afc requests. (Please read the updated instructions.)
- Please consider adding {{AFC status}} to your userpage to keep track of the number of articles waiting for review. At the time of writing we are officially backlogged, so help is needed!
- There is currently a proposal to bring the Images for upload process under the umbrella of WikiProject Articles for creation. The rationale is that both processes are designed to allow unregistered users to take part more fully in Wikipedia, and partipants in each process can probably help each other.
If you no longer wish to receive messages from WikiProject Articles for creation, please remove your name from this list. Thank you.
Confusion
[edit]You wrote a message on my page saying I vandalised the Henry Ford page. Those changes were from August 2006. And seeing since I've only had this laptop for several months, it was not me who made those changes. I hope you understand this, but I have not vandalised Wikipedia. I actually remove it when I see it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.79.170.193 (talk) 18:56, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- It sounds like the message was not intended for you. Please check out the disclaimer at the bottom of your talk page, it reads: "This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address." Sorry for the the confusion. --24fan24 (talk) 00:31, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 02:12, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ardsley-Secor Volunteer Ambulance Corps
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ardsley-Secor Volunteer Ambulance Corps requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 04:15, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
