questionable notability, minor tag

[edit]

Hi, first, please don't use the minor tag for non-minor edits. If you are confused on what this means, see HELP:MINOR.

Second, don't add individuals with questionable notability. For instance, Martin CJ Mongiello doesn't have an article. So he shouldn't be added as 'notable' to cities in Italy, Tennessee cities, Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and his high school. You can read more about the rationale at Wikipedia:Write the article first. tedder (talk) 23:26, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Martin cj mongiello, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Lulu and Abington, Pennsylvania (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. • Comment We do apologize and did not know how to do it despite trying much. We think we have it figured out now.--Mongiello Holdings, LLC group of companies 22:33, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Try again- don't add "Mongiello Holdings", just add four tildes. Also, signing it as the LLC isn't a good sign- accounts at Wikipedia should be used by one person (an individual), not be used as a role account. There are some point of view issues, but there's a very strict legal issue with copyrights. If this is a role account, let me know ASAP. tedder (talk) 22:37, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment We have tried using the four tildes and it does not show his name. Instead it shows our company name. This is not a role account. Mr. Mongiello is here everyday and guiding all of the typing for us. Is it legally required that he alone sit in front of all keyboards and no employees are allowed to type while he speaks aloud and fact checks items with our group? The reason that is mentioned is he is a disabled veteran and has carpal tunnel syndrome problems. Mongiello Holdings, LLC group of companies 23:08, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Comment I believe we have fixed that name now in the PREFERENCES section of Wikipedia and we thank you for helping us. We are honestly working on the POV and CN issues as much as we can and as fast as we can. Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA 23:13, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hello Abghty. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Martin cj mongiello, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

You have declared yourself to be the organ for the strategic eponymous marketing company, and you appear to be seeking to use Wikipedia to create notability for the principal. Wikipedia is not a place to promote an organisation or an individual. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 00:28, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: User Timtrent no one here, least of all Mr. Mongiello "has declared themselves to be an organ for some so-called strategic marketing company." Mr. Mongiello could care less and will strip all information of anything he has ever done in business out of the writings.

What we fail to understand is why a human being is allowed to alive and famous such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Flay for the strategic, multi-trillion dollar for-profit FoodNetwork and Scripps TV as well as his Mesa Grill in Las Vegas and can have links to such promoting it's business and for-profit ventures but Mr. Mongiello who has incubated 26 small businesses in the past four years is somehow different?

Additionally, and professionally focusing on the page content - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Scheib does not have citations all over his page for birth date and his private companies and businesses being promoted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Bayless#cite_note-0 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_O%27Connell_(chef) are additional examples of mentors asking Mr. Mongiello to also ensure the correct information is available at Wikipedia, so it can be edited by the world and adjusted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubert_Keller is an additional mentor and teacher of Mr. Mongiello who has asked to link up and ensure encyclopedic content is available.

Your previous and current negative and personal comments continue to cause concern of a personal attack and unverifiable nature in violation of Wikipedia protocol and in violation of the terms of use.Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA 01:26, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Quote: "Comment We do apologize and did not know how to do it despite trying much. We think we have it figured out now.--Mongiello Holdings, LLC group of companies 22:33, 6 March 2012 (UTC)" is sufficient evidence I believe. Now, please feel free to attack me all you wish. As usual such things say more about the attacker than the attacked :) Fiddle Faddle (talk) 01:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is interesting that you admit you feel you ARE the attacker. Interesting. As usual though, your activites all day long have failed to address the numerous references we make and ask about. You answer little to nothing. Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA 01:43, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

I have no interest in any further communication from you, the more so since you attempt a schoolyard repurposing of my words to meet your ends. I find it very hard to assume good faith about your edits and purpose here. All I see is an article designed to promote the man Mongiello, something that is deprecated here. I will continue to deal with the article properly, but I will no longer respond to anything you say to me. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 01:54, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Previously, your repeated negative attacks violated the terms of Wikipedia, while you stated your concern was for promotion of the many companies and military disabled non-profits that Mr. Mongiello helps with. Pending that concern, we removed all of the non-profits from the page by name, all of the companies he has successfully built and most all of the charity work he does. This despite many, many pages on Wiki have far less citations than this page does. Regardless of which, no matter how much research is provided or citations, you continue to loath the encyclopedic inclusion of such while many others have already. Now it is interesting that you have decided you are no longer happy with that, and the unprofessional lack of focus on the page content has shifted in your cerebrum to attack the man, Mr. Mongiello. We have a dedicated team here researching and citing the acts, achievements and works of Mr. Mongiello and he has helped to type many items but due to carpal tunnel syndrome problems, cannot type all of the time.Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA 04:38, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

[1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 00:29, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hillary Clinton letter, preview, sources

[edit]

First, you put in a link to a letter from Hillary Clinton. The strong implication is that letter proves "instrumental in rescue operations" and "Mongiello originally began historic work". Neither of those are addressed in the letter. Please read what a reliable source is, and what a verifiable source is. Links to your own website don't qualify.

Second, use the preview button so you don't make so many minor edits. tedder (talk) 00:46, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Dear User Tedder, focusing on the page content only, professionally, if you would allow enough time to provide the numerous references to be placed up and online in support of one another you would see that the culmination of them and the ensuing newspaper articles from across the state of Connecticut and Virginia will verify the cumulative statements made. Attacking each and every single one of them as has been done all day long today has only resulted in over 20 citations disproving your, previous, negative comment and attacks.

Secondly, all documents sent from First Lady Clinton's Office of the First Lady are a matter of record and can be examined via the National Archives or the Clinton Foundation in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Thirdly, the current Wikipedia policy that governs all paper, book and ephemera not capable of being hyper-linked or cited to a verifiable source is specifically stated that the user shall reference it, "despite no link being available." We have exceeded that requirement.

Fourthly, the accusation that a color copy and verifiable signature of the current Secretary of State of the United States of America is not allowed, false or fraudulent is an accusation of criminal activity. You seek to engage Wikipedia in the criminal and civil penalties associated with accused fraud on the part of Martin CJ Mongiello. Additionally, you intimate that such violations of American law can be proven not only by an investigative team you would propose - but that your actions will be condoned and supported by Wikipedia.Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA 01:38, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

See WP:V. See WP:OSE. No criminal intent has been given. It's interesting how every conversation turns you towards blustering and threats, isn't it? tedder (talk) 02:00, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
