A&S Plaza

[edit]

There were a huge number of spelling mistakes in this article. I tried to guess on some of the words but I am not sure I did (marage = marriage or merge?) so please check the article to see I did it correctly. Also, please add things to the article like where is A&S Plaza? Two years after it was founded but when was it founded? Things like that! 172.163.18.175 09:53, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hannah Montana (Star)

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Hannah Montana (Star), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. NrDg 20:34, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Miley Stewart / Hannah Montana

[edit]

I reverted your name change back to Miley Stewart. There was a discussion about this in February where the name Miley Stewart was decided on. If you wish to rename the page, please discus it first in the discussion page to see what others have to say about it first. There are too many articles linked to Miley Stewart right now to change the name without a REAL good reason. Thanks. --NrDg 21:30, 31 August 2007 (UTC) Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page F3 (ship). Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Pride of Hawaii / Norwegian Jade

[edit]

Thank you for your work on Pride of Hawaii, however, this vessel is still U.S. flagged and in operation under her original name. She is not due to undergo refurbishment, re-flagging to the Bahamas, and rechristening as Norwegian Jade, until February of 2008. Her Wikipedia page reflects her current and planned status. I reverted your edits to the Pride of Hawaii page to reflect this. The Norwegian Jade page still exists but has been purged of data. However, once the official changeover takes place, we can rework the information. You will find a similar history with Norwegian Wind. This vessel's future as the SuperStar Aquarius was announced long before the actual changeover. Once her transfer was complete, the page was updated to reflect her new identity and status. --OneCyclone 05:17, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--Bradeos Graphon (talk) 22:39, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The S.S. Tipton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --haha169 (talk) 23:38, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in America's News Headquaters

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on America's News Headquaters, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because America's News Headquaters is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting America's News Headquaters, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.

Major image problems

[edit]

I'm writing to ask that a) you fix the images you already uploaded and b) please do not upload any more images that you personally did not create and own the copyright to until you fully understand our non-free image policy. Please read WP:FU. If you have any questions about any of it feel free to ask. Wikipedia is licensed under the GFDL, which is a free license. All content needs to be free, except a very few cases where fair use allows us to use non-free content. We have very strict guidelines on how such images must be used. They first must be correctly tagged with their corresponding license tag. Then a fair use rational must be written to explain each and every use of the image in terms of how and why the image is fair use. We also need to state the source of the copyrighted material. So to fix your images, you need to go back and provide a source for the image, and fill out Template:Non-free use rationale if you still believe the image could qualify under our non-free image policy. Galleries of non-free images are specifically prohibited, and images cannot simply be used for decoration. If we are to use non-free content, we need to explain how the images are important and why the article needs this image to further reader understanding. If you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask. If the problems with the images you uploaded are not fixed, they will most likely be deleted. -Andrew c [talk] 16:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 00:00, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Mr. Monopoly.jpeg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mr. Monopoly.jpeg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:39, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Bachelor-pad.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Bachelor-pad.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Helen Housh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The article Helen Housh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fictional character in a movie that doesn't have an article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:56, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not blank pages, as you did to Nikki Bella with this edit, because it is considered vandalism; instead, use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see here for what to do. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:34, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Adamprin. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
