[edit]This edit is not acceptable. The contents of that sentence have been discussed ad nasuem, and that is the consensus version. Do not change it again. Raul654 17:13, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- If by "consensus," you mean "agreed upon by William M. Connolley's fanclub," then yes, it is the "consensus" version. There are others who prefer Alexandraln's wording, myself included, but we are not allowed to contribute. --64.222.222.25 03:02, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Global warming
[edit]Don't you think you have a few too few edits under your belt to go pouring gasoline on the fire at the Global warming article?

- Are you actually suggesting that there is a pecking order based on Wikipedia camping time? Are we not all allowed to contribute to this collaborative website? Shall I dig up the password for my 2002 account, to earn your e-props? --64.222.222.25 03:04, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Atlant, do you mind doing some REAL research before accusing me of being ignorant using a cliche analogy? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alexandraln (talk • contribs).
- I'm entirely familiar with both the technical issues around global warming and Wikipedia's political issues around the article. I do become concerned, though, when a brand-new Wikipedian makes, as their first edit, a guaranteed-to-be-controversial edit on an extremely controversial article.
- I will also note for your benefit that the user who warned you just before me (Raul654) is about as senior an official on Wikipedia as you are likely to encounter. If you want your tenure at Wikipedia to continue, you might want to heed Raul's good advice.
- I'll also remind you that it's appreciated if you sign all your talk-page posts with four tildes (~~~~); when you press (Save page), these will be replaced by your username in a handy, Wikilinked format and a timestamp will also be included.
I wasn't going to change the page again. I also don't dedicate my life to changing Wikipedia articles either, but I have been a user for a while, so please do not treat me like an infant. Thanks. ~~~~
