You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Don't forget to Categorise your articles
[edit]Greetings, I've added a Category to some of your articles where there was no category. As you write articles, don't forget to add a cat, such as [[Category:Danish footballers]] or similar. Thanks! MatthewVanitas (talk) 11:13, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Dragosh
[edit]A couple of questions about Dragosh.
Do you know if he edits the Romanian Wikipedia much? Is he similarly disruptive there?
If I write a brief explanation of why he is blocked - which would include encouraging him to come back in a year if his English has improved significantly by then - would you be prepared to translate it into Romanian and put it on his talk page? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 11:50, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Demiurge--I don't think it's just that. I have no doubt that Dragosh has been able to read the various warnings and discussions and that he simply chose not to respond. I see two explanations: either he totally, utterly doesn't get it, that his edits are problematic, or he does know and simply ignores it for one reason or another. Those things may change in a year, of course, but again, I don't believe it's because his English is not sufficient. I do think it's a good idea to have the warning there in Romanian also, if only for the record. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 14:15, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, that was something to include, not the only point of the message :) At the previous discussion at ANI, it was made clear (I think by Alexynho) that Dragosh's English is just not good enough to participate without disruption. I know attempts have been made to communicate with him in Romanian, but some of those were with Google Translate, and we know what kind of mess that makes. The binary distinction between two explanations that you suggest isn't helpful - it's more than likely he is aware there's problems, but doesn't understand well enough to grasp exactly what the problems are or what he should do about them. His English really is bad enough that all the templated warnings about notability are probably just mumbo jumbo floating up the screen. Of course, that's not to rule out the possibility that in one year (or five years) he might have much better English but still no intention of editing within guidelines; but we don't know that until we try. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 14:32, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- I disagree with some of your comments, but not with your conclusion. Let's hope that some homework will help, and let's hope that he doesn't continue to edit in another form, though I'm sure that Alexynho will find out soon enough if that happens (socking is rather typical in such cases). Drmies (talk) 15:27, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I've put a brief explanation including most of these points, at User talk:Bad good dragosh98#Blocked. Alexynho, if you could put a Romanian version of the same text underneath it, that would be fantastic. (Maybe have the edit summary in Romanian as well, just so he's more likely to look at it if he happens to see it.) Thanks again. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 12:49, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- I just did. We'll see next year, if he understood anything from this experience. Alexynho (talk) 16:22, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi there ALEX, VASCO from Portugal here,
may i know to what are the insults towards me in this footballer's page due? AWFUL writing? I disagree, but thanks for the reference regarding his team captaincy.
Attentively, happy week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:05, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- "On 19 October 2010, Cadú scored twice at FC Bayern Munich for the season's UEFA Champions League group stage, one of those in his own net, in an eventual 2–3 loss". Does this sound normal to you? Alexynho (talk) 18:22, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Yes it does (if anything, i should have written "one of those GOALS BEING in his own net") I am not aware of your level of English, but i assure you it's perfectly well-written English. What i assure you is NOT correct is remove the wikilinks ("UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE" the competition and "2010-11 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE", plus "OWN GOAL"), and "lost with 2-3" means nothing in English. The word "at" (FC Bayern) implies match was away, instead of writing "away match against FC Bayern"; all in all, you are here to help improve the articles, as am i.
--Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:11, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- If it`s correct, then you should reverse it. And btw, I didn't removed the wikilinks on pupose. When I start writing, I forget sometimes to put those too. And I agree with you, we`re both here to improve the articles. Alexynho (talk) 06:07, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Massimo Zappino
[edit]Massimo Zappino did not join the Romanian team yet. the source you cite is for he left Varese as free agent. Matthew_hk tc 09:30, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, he signed, but he is unable to play, due to Vaslui's transfer ban. He signed a 2-year contract, and it was all over our Romanian media. I may indeed, put a wrong link, but I assure you that he is 100% our team's player, because I personally saw him training with our squad. He can't play, because SC Vaslui is unable to sign any player, until the winter break. Alexynho (talk) 21:26, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- I made two errors in only one section. A personal record. I meant Vaslui can sign a player, but he can not be recorded at LPF (Romanian Professional Football League) until the winter break. Sorry! Alexynho (talk) 21:26, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- You can add back the content at any time with a reliable source. I often use the club statement and romaniansoccer.ro/ for Romanian source. Matthew_hk tc 08:49, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello again, from Portugal (see message titled "Cadú (footballer)", it's also me but now without an account),
I reverted you here because we don't insert lists with international appearances of players, only international goals and if the players have many many goals (like Klose, Messi, Ronaldo, Romário, etc) not even that. That's considered overdetail, please ask WP:FOOTY to see if I'm lying.

The article Stelian Carabaş has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

[edit]Infobox timestamps
[edit]Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.
You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update=
or |pcupdate=
parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update=
or |ntupdate=
parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:18, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
