[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because your username is a clear violation of Wikipedia's username policy – it is obviously offensive, profane, sexually explicit, disruptive, and suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to Wikipedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information.

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disrptive behavior. If you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, or would otherwise like to explain why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|your reason here ~~~~}}

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Username that violated Wikipedia's username policy has been changed. Armaan X (talk) 19:41, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It's not enough just to change your username. You picked a deliberately offensive username and need to convince us you are here to be constructive, given that you've demonstrated this is not the case. Yamla (talk) 19:49, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I cannot think of any way to actually convince the administrators that my edits will be constructive, except telepathically communicating my intentions (which is impossible), so I ask that the indefinite block be converted to being blocked for a 3-month duration. And if in within one month after being unblocked (after the 3-month period), I have not proved to be constructive, the indefinite block be reinstated. Armaan X (talk) 20:04, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Putting an end date on the block does nothing to convince us you will be constructive. You can tell us how exactly you intend to be constructive. 331dot (talk) 20:46, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Except the sexually explicit username that I had (now changed) which violated Wikipedia's policy, my edits have neither broken any rules (except maybe one on my own user page) nor do they count as vandalism. There is no reason to believe I would turn destructive all of a sudden, especially now, having been blocked once. So there should be no objection to me being allowed to edit articles which are of interest to me; unless there is some other vague expectation regarding "constructive" edits. Armaan X (talk) 21:06, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are not understanding our instructions. Let me try again.

Choosing an immature, inappropriate username has consequences. We don't know anything about you other than the fact that you chose a highly inappropriate usernames when you signed up. In the 20+ years we have been maintaining Wikipedia, it is our experience that the vast majority of people who choose highly inappropriate usernames just go on to create more problems than they solve when they are allowed to edit. It is your job to show us otherwise by telling us what constructive edits you intend to make. An example of an acceptable answer would be something like:

I want to expand <link to article> by using the following reliable sources: <link to multiple reliable sources>.

You can see articles which need expansion by looking through this list of short articles, organized by type.

As an alternative, you can take the standard offer by not editing the English Wikipedia at all for six months and then requesting an unblock. During those six months, you can contribute to Simple English Wikipedia to prove you can be a productive contributor. HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 00:54, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
