94rain Talk 05:08, 1 January 2024 (UTC)Blue Cain
[edit]Hello, BullDawg2021. I saw that you have been to some Georgia Bulldogs basketball games recently. I went to the game against High Point on December 16, and noticed UGA's freshman Blue Cain bears a resemblance to my cousin. As a familial inside joke and a contribution to Wikipedia, I am drafting an article for Blue Cain that I wish to publish by seasons end or before. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of Blue at the game. Would you happen to have a photo/be able to get a photo at an upcoming game you will attend? I don't need high quality or anything fancy, just enough to make out his face. If not, no worries either way. Happy New Year, and Go Dawgs!
TarheelBornBred Talk 12:37, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, TarheelBornBred. I would be more than happy to help you by taking a picture of Blue Cain. I am planning to attend the game against Tennessee on 1/13, so I will see if I can take a picture depending on how good my seats are. I can also help with the draft if you would like. Happy New Year, and Go Dawgs! BullDawg2021 (talk) 18:20, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Great! Thank you very much, here is the link to my draft so far, make any corrections or improvements you see fit. * Blue Cain TarheelBornBred (talk) 20:05, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

Spinster300 (talk) 11:24, 18 January 2024 (UTC)2024 America East men's basketball tournament moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to 2024 America East men's basketball tournament. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it may be too soon to create this article. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 00:07, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Significa liberdade. To be quite honest, I do not understand this move. Every college basketball tournament has a Wikipedia page and sources usually aren’t required for this type of event. How else I am supposed to prove that this event is notable? If this isn’t notable, then you have a lot of college basketball tournament pages to move to drafts. BullDawg2021 (talk) 01:07, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Because I have the option to move it back, I will. Every America East tournament since 1980 has had a Wikipedia page, so there is no reason this one is not notable. Just because there is a lack of sources in an article about a notable annual tournament doesn't mean that it isn't notable. There have been no other issues with articles with the same quality of sources regarding annual conference tournaments. The article had also already been reviewed, so there should've been no issue.

[edit]On 24 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2024 Major League Baseball uniform controversy, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that one Baltimore Orioles player compared the 2024 Major League Baseball jerseys to knockoffs from TJ Maxx? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2024 MLB jersey controversy. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 2024 Major League Baseball uniform controversy), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

RaShawn Stores - DYK
[edit]I saw that you've had a few articles be nominated for DYK, and I was wondering if you could give me some feedback on whether my article on RaShawn Stores could be potentially applicable. I'm thinking the hook or whatever you would call it would be along the lines of him playing under, coaching for, and replacing Steve Masiello within a decade. If you have the time, could you review the article for content/sourcing/anything else that I might need to tweak for it to be nominated for DYK. Thanks, TarheelBornBred (talk) 21:15, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
Hi, TarheelBornBred. After reviewing the article, I believe that it indeed could potentially become a DYK article. The article is free of plagiarism, is neutral, and has an interesting hook. However, I do not believe that the article would be accepted due to the sourcing. Most of the sources are fine, but the New York Post and primary sources such as the Manhattan and NJIT athletic websites will prevent the article from passing the 'adequate sourcing' portion of the process. For a hook, I would say something along the lines of "Did you know... that RaShawn Stores played for, coached with, and eventually replaced Steve Masiello all within one decade?" It's a very rough hook that could definitely be improved, but it's a place to start. You will also need a source to accompany the claim, which could be an issue. Overall, I think the article has a strong case to be nominated for DYK, but some sources need to be changed. I would be glad to help you find additional sources if needed. Just let me know. Sorry for the late response, and Go Dawgs! @TarheelBornBred: BullDawg2021 (talk) 02:49, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback. If you are so inclined to find additional sources for me, I would be very grateful. This week I have a heavy school load so I might not exert much effort into the article for a little while, so apologies in advance if it seems I have pawned my responsibility onto you, but after this week I will be able to tweak the article myself as well. Thanks, and Go Dawgs! TarheelBornBred (talk) 13:31, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Haliey Welch
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Haliey Welch. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Hailey_Welch. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Hailey_Welch. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Comintell (talk) 03:44, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

- My draft existed before your draft. Two drafts on the same subject are not allowed. Yours was accepted by mistake. Therefore your draft, because it is not the original draft, DID qualify for speedy deletion. Hope this makes sense. Comintell (talk) 03:52, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

- We'll see. Are you actually allowed to revert/undo a CSD? Is that not a violation of policy and potentially edit warring. We'll see how it turns out. I created and submitted the draft first, plain and simple. Yours was accepted by mistake. Had the reviewer known there was already a draft in submission, it likely would have been CSD'd. - Maybe my sourcing was better? All you've done is attack me. Accusing me of copying, intentional misspelling, and all kinds of things. Reporting me to administrators. Then you try to end a AFD without a consensus. Then you try to speedy delete it. My question is, why do you care so much? It's just an article about a meme. I'm so sorry that we happened to write articles about the same subject around the same time. BullDawg2021 (talk) 04:07, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]I finished the article for Brooke Huckaby. I have noticed that although she was elected months ago, it seems that the revelation that she is the US' youngest female mayor is just now coming to light. As such, as I was creating the article, new sources were being created simultaneously. [edit]Your recent editing history at Hawk Tuah Girl shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
