2019 Parramatta Eels season moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2019 Parramatta Eels season, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. RFL results

[edit]

There is no need for results to be consistent across every competition. The existing format has been used for years on Championship and League 1 result without comment but I can't be bothered to argue except for a) use the terms used by the RFL i.e. you don't have to repeat play-off in each game title (the first round of the Championship play-offs are simply the Eliminators), and b) if you remove references please either reinstate them or provide a new one. • Wikipedia is a collaborative project. When editors disagree on content in an article, they need to resolve the matter through discussion, ideally on the article in question's talk page. Edit warring to force your preferred version of an article is unacceptable.
Further, personal attacks against other editors are not allowed. You may not attack other editors, whether logged into this account, logged into another account, or not logged in. There was an incident yesterday where Sheernests attacked PeeJay. Sheernests has been blocked. My initial assumption was that a user, previously blocked, had come back to troll PeeJay. However, circumstantial evidence now makes you look like the guilty party.
In rugby parlance, consider that incident to be on report. Also note that continued edit warring, further personal attacks, or other disruption of Wikipedia could land you in the sin bin. —C.Fred (talk) 14:11, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2024 A-League Women finals series deletion

[edit]

In regards to the article of 2024 A-League Women finals series on the verge of deletion, I do understand why because of the seeming redundancy of these kinds of articles. But because finals series/play-offs are a different championship compared to the regular season, it should be reliable enough for its own article. Finals articles are there for more information on the finals itself and to link other text instances that mention the finals series instead of sub-linking them (e.g. would rather [[2024 A-League Women finals series|A-League Women Finals]] instead of [[2023–24 A-League Women#Finals series|A-League Women Finals]] The AFL and NRL do the same strategy (e.g. 2022 AFL finals series and 2022 NRL finals series). FastCube (talk) 06:40, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was decided to not do a finals series article for the NRL in 2023, so 2022 will be the last one. Besides, it's irrelevant comparing the sports because they're different and the finals structure in the AFL and NRL is more meaningful and convoluted. The information on the 2024 A-League Women finals series article could easily be transferred to the main 2023–24 A-League Women article. The A-League Men haven't done this and they've had the same finals structure for 3 seasons now. I would suggest re-instating the proposed deletion template to the article as it should come down to public discussion rather than just between us. Kind regards. I did start a talk at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Australia task force/Archive 4#Should the word "season" be attached to league season title names? months ago, which brought the idea of finals articles as well. It was in fact said that they don't "garner enough coverage by themselves to be eligible for separate articles" which I can agree to an extent, but I don't think they were fully unaccepted in that talk.
