Creighton University

[edit]

Hello Edporter, it looks like some edits you made to the Creighton University page have created double redirects. This was most likely unintentional, but it is something we should try to avoid as editors. What I mean is, the link to School of Nursing is a link to a redirect page, so rather than simply being redirected, a user needs to click on the second redirect link to continue on. Also, redirecting School of Nursing to a specific Creighton page may not be the way to go, as School of Nursing is very broad, and Creighton's school of nursing is very specific. We wouldn't want every instance of School of Nursing to point to Creighton!

If I may offer a suggestion of what you may have meant to do: you probably wanted to create a Piped Link, that is make the text "school of nursing" link specifically to Creighton. You can do this without a redirect. Simply type in [[Where It Should Go|Existing Text]] so in your case it would be something like: [[Creighton School of Nursing|School of Nursing]] which would show School of Nursing as a link, but actually link to the specific Creighton article. Try it out! If I have been unclear in my explanation, please drop me a note on my talk page and I'll try to help out better! Also, I made a couple Pipe Links in this message, feel free to look a the source for examples. Regards - BierHerr | Bier holen gehen 02:22, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Nebraska Health System

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Nebraska Health System requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Double Redirect

[edit]

When moving pages, as you did to Univeristy of Nebraska Medical Center, please remember to fix any double redirects. These can create slow, unpleasant experiences for the reader, waste server resources, and make the navigational structure of the site confusing. Thank you. The article Belvedere Boulevard has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable city street that does not pass the WP:GNG as a stand alone article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Admrboltz (talk) 03:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
