[edit]Greetings Gespee, I have moved your draft to a safe spot on your userspace where you may work on it, here: User:Gespee/Purswani. Give me a few days, and I will go find you a volunteer mentor to help you polish and refine your article. MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:00, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Greetings Gespee, in order to get the greatest variety of outside opinion, please post your Request for Feedback at WP:WikiProject India's Discussion board, so that more people can have a chance to read the draft. Also, please ensure you log in when editing, otherwise it is difficult to tell with whom we are speaking, or who is editing the draft. MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:55, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- Greetings Mr. MatthewVanitas, I do not know how to post this draft "Request for Feedback". I request you to please do the needful on my behalf. Thanks a lot. gespee Gespee (talk) 15:23, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Greetings Gespee, the page you seek is Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics. I recommend you post there and request feedback on your draft. I am recusing myself from this discussion since I previously assisted on your KSS article, and it would be better to have a variety of articles cover KSS topics rather than just one, in order to maintain even neutrality. If you post at the above and do not receive a response within a week, please contact me and I will seek you out an individual mentor. MatthewVanitas (talk) 01:43, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
India noticeboard
[edit]Hello Gespee, and welcome to Wikipedia. I believe (from the discussion on your talk page) that you are looking for someone to review your draft User:Gespee/Purswani. I have removed the copy of the article posted there, instead replacing it by a link to your page. Thank you! Yes Michael? •Talk 14:32, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Gespee, I see that you want to move the draft to mainspace. The article on the whole is passable, but it still needs to be broken up into sections to make it clearer. I will move it into Article space for you. Lynch7 05:02, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Gespee, I have to disagree with Mike here, the article as it stands is a complete mess, its badly formatted, filled with fluff and the language is very poor, I've moved it back to your userspace where it needs a great deal more work before it can be an article--Jac16888 Talk 11:22, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
Hello Jac, I agree with Mr. Mike that the article as a whole is "passable". If you disagree with Mr. Mike, then I request you to please make the necessary corrections and changes to make it "passable". The article has been lying in userspace for last one month and had been corrected many times to make it "passable". I request you to do the needful, please. Gespee (talk) 02:24, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry Gespee but the article is not even close to passable, for starters its badly translated and badly formatted, and promotional. It requires a lot more work before its remotely passable, and Mike has supported my moving of the page back to userspace--Jac16888 Talk 14:18, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Dear Mr. jac, Hi, I am 72 years old man. I accept that I am not a good writer. But I know about Khudabadi Sindhi Swarankar and know about Purswani family very well. I have mentioned the facts in details and those should be known to public through wikipedia. It is my request to you personally to please help out the article in corrections, translations and formations so that it become "passable". The article had been in User page link to feed back for information and rectifications for more than a month and it gone had through the process as much as possible. If you feel that it still required some needful, then please help me you doing so. Many thanks in anticipation. Gespee (talk) 16:13, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Dear Mr. Mike, please help in some corrections and rectifications in the article to make it passable. Gespee (talk) 20:01, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
- All right, will take a look into it. Lynch7 18:14, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Please note that in the process of tidying up the article, I will be compelled to delete large sections of the article. Lynch7 18:17, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Dear editor, I have tidied up the article a bit, but I'm seeking a second opinion on it before I make it into an article. So it will take some time (probably a day) Thanks. Lynch7 19:05, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Please note that in the process of tidying up the article, I will be compelled to delete large sections of the article. Lynch7 18:17, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Dear Mr. Mikelynch, I am grateful that you have tidied up the article very satisfactory. I request you to please shift the article to the space of "articles". Thanks. Gespee (talk) 02:23, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Dear Mr. MikeLynch, Hi! I am very much disappointed that my article "Purswani Family Tree" has not been shifted to space of article upto writing of this note. The "Purswani Family" is having very ancient roots and still survying and spread throughout world which is amazing. By not this article a suitable space, viewers are being deprived of this knowledge. I therefore request you to please explain Mr. Jac and shift the article to space of articles. Thanks. Gespee (talk) 17:36, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Your article was published yesterday
[edit]Gespee, your article was published yesterday, and has since been available at Purswani. It still does need substantial work, and personally I would not have thought it ready to publish, but defer to my colleague's opinion. I (and hopefully a few others) will drop in to do some cleanup. Please help us by, before adding any new content, bringing up the issue on the Talk page. There are several Wikipedia concepts of content and format with which you are not yet familiar, and to add new content while still unfamiliar with these policies will add more work for us, so please do run your ideas by us before deciding to add any more content. Same for if there are other articles you intend to create; it would be best to start them out strong in proper format/content, vice writing them in isolation (as in the Purswani) article and then needing others to work it extensively for publication.
If you have any questions about the changes I and others made due to Wiki formats and practices, we can answer to those here. MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:58, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Regarding Textile Merchants
[edit]Greetings Gespee, there is no earthly reason to Capitalise or bold the term Textile Merchants. Please turn it to "textile merchants" and in general refrain from bolding items (except for the lede term in its first occurrence), and from capitalising anything other than words capitalised in English (names, starts of sentences, etc.). Thanks! MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:39, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Gespee, again, please stop bolding cloth merchants, Dandakaranya etc. Words should generally not be bolded in articles, save for the first use of the title term. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:40, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Gespee, again. I have added the "copyedit" tag to your article because you persist in using non-WP formatting, and I'm still baffled why you use formatting like colth merchants or "Cloth Merchants" (with quotes). Just say it like this: cloth merchants. What's so unsatisfactory about that?
- Please stop bolding, italicising, and capitalising inappropriately. MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:57, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
