Hi Hanin.idris! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Halmurat Upur that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Hanin.idris! To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Phillip Kingston

Hi there! This is just a quick note to let you know that I've reverted your recent edits at Phillip Kingston. I did this because the text you added seemed to be copied from the source given and because having a section on Galactic Bioware may give it undue weight. As has been mentioned above, Wikipedia has to paraphrase the sources used in order to avoid copyright violations; please do take note of this as it will mean less of your edits will have to be reverted.

I've also looked for some more independent sources for the information about Galactic Bioware but I couldn't easily find any. Because notability is shown through published, reliable sources, this suggests that having a section on it may lend the article a non-neutral point of view.

So the first source is a Slack link which doesn't seem to be accessible; in any case it seems to be from AAICO which would mean it isn't an independent source. It also has the same string in its URL to the second so I suspect that it's a similar if not identical article. The Australian has a paywall up which means I can't check the entire article, but the headline seems to be completely unconnected (let me know if I'm wrong) and so I expect that it's just a passing mention. This might be able to support something on Galactic, depending on quite how small the mention is, but to be honest I doubt it. The last link is a profile and it seems to me to be written by Kingston or on his behalf so I don't think it would be independent enough to balance a whole section on Galactic on; for this reason I'm also going to take it out of the article where you added it yesterday.

I think it might be worth reflecting on how relevant Galactic is to the article at the moment - when Kingston is talked about in independent sources, it's rare that Galactic is even mentioned. This article which is all about him, for example, has about a dozen words on Galactic and doesn't even mention it by name. Not to say it won't ever be in the article, but at the moment there just doesn't seem to be enough coverage to warrant it. Thanks, Gazamp (talk) 02:59, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
