Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for uploading File:2001 World Men's Handball Championship logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Sputnik Rechitsa

[edit]

Hello. Before I revert your change again, can you please provide a source for your claim about promotion? --BlameRuiner (talk) 09:52, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@BlameRuiner: https://by.tribuna.com/tribuna/blogs/belarus_league/2345315.html Ludost Mlačani (talk) 15:38, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how well do you know Russian, the text in the last segment of the video says literally: "Sputntik Rechitsa will most likely play in the First League." Emphasis on "most likely", because as of today it's just an assumption, based on their last year league position (3rd) and the expected vacant place in the First League. They're just the first in line. However, neither Sputnik promotion not the vacant spot in the First League was announced by the Football Federation of Belarus. So please wait until they announce it.--BlameRuiner (talk) 15:52, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@BlameRuiner: I Know enough Russian. Here is another one without "most likely": https://football.by/news/123068.html I think trybuna is a reliable source. And even if it is just probably ("veroyatnee"), it is still better then your edit with Dnepr Mogilev, which 100% won't play there. So my edit is "probably" correct, while yours is absolutely wrong. I expect you to revert your edit, at least in next days when some institution you respect will announce it. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 15:59, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@BlameRuiner: Well???? You still have not reverted your wrong edits. If you won't correct them, I will revert it again. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 20:58, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need to be angry, I'll do the edits soon. Sputnik was only confirmed as a participant yesterday, when the draw was made. Peace. --BlameRuiner (talk) 21:41, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Bosnia and Herzegovina Republic Football League, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. FPL/Slovenia

[edit]

Hello. I'm neutral on the subject, but you need thorough consensus before adding/removing leagues from FPL. I'd recommend starting a new section regarding the Slovenian league, as opposed to continuing the current discussion under "Clear and Objective definition" which may turn editors away as it isn't clear. Another option is to ask fellow editors at talk:WikiProject Football to come and join the discussion at FPL, as talkNFOOTY has more 'eyes' following it than talkFPL - though be careful not to violate Wikipedia:Canvassing. R96Skinner (talk) 22:02, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@R96Skinner: I did this. But it is still a disgrace that there is such an important policy that has no definition and that the editors are thoroughly "applying it" without being able to provide a definition. It gives an impression that the FPL project is subjected to arbitrary practice and therefore actions about adding, removing and reverting seem to be unreliable. You cannot seriously participate in a debate if there is no definition of what you are supposed to argue about. Furthermore there are practically no active users that would participate in a debate, so a consensus is even more impossible to reach. I waited 1 week before each of my edits, bot noone commented. When I argued in AFD debate that this league is fully pro, I was instructed from more users that "the place to discuss whether or not the league is FPL or not is Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues, and I recommend you take that discussion there." I did that and no noone of them commented or participated in a debate. I have a feeling that you are taking me for a fool. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 07:22, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That simply isn't the case, as I think you know. Sometimes you just need to push your arguments more and make them clear and concise, e.g. your comments were all over the place, pre-today's discussion, which makes it difficult for uninvolved editors to understand and follow any ongoing discussion. That's proven by the new discussion that has a clear title/flow, which has five other editors involved in less than 24hrs as opposed to just three in just over three weeks across "Clear and Objective definition" and "Missing men's leagues of current FIFA member countries". Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Bosnia and Herzegovina Republic Football League, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:26, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ludost Mlačani. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bosnia and Herzegovina Republic Football League".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 19:02, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijan league, pro?

[edit]

Hi, I don't see why you don't want to participate in the discussion. If the league is truly pro, can't you provide sources? I already tried providing a couple of sources myself, but they don't say much about the general situation of the league (if ALL clubs are pro), just that the average is X dollars, and that Essien's team is pro. If you can find a source which shows that all clubs in the league pay their players professional salaries, then the league will be put in the fully-pro section. Nehme1499 (talk) 17:39, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I do not really care if the league is put there or not. I have bad experiences with PFL debates. I just wanted to help saying the things I know. You will have to search for sources yourself, just put Azərbaycan liqasındakı klubların büdcəsi or sth in google. Good luch, cheers. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 18:32, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to do anything; I'm neutral to this subject. If you want the league to be regarded as fully-pro, then provide evidence. Saying stuff like "with the systemic bias on this project it will never be added to list" won't help anyone. Nehme1499 (talk) 18:50, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I do not want the league to be regarded as fully-pro, I do not care about it. I just said how the things stand. I know it won't help, but it is still true. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 18:54, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Ilirija1920.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ilirija1920.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. November 2021

Ravenswing 13:12, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

LOL, I was not attacking anyone. And why would there be a conflict of interest? Ludost Mlačani (talk) 13:26, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That was a conversation on a talk page and not an attack on anyone, on the contrary, it was a thank. And you cannot compare apples with oranges. Systemic bias on Wikipedia, especially topics regarding Women, South and EAST has been confirmed by numeral academic researches and has been aknowleged as a problem by some of the leading WMF members including Sue Gardner. So, it is not just my assumption. Concretly for stadiums not a single one stadium has been deleted or redirected from any professional football league in Western Europe that comes even close to Yugoslav or Serbian league (currently 12th strongest by official rankings). I checked hundreds of articles and you can check it yourself. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 23:12, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And what does a football stadium in Serbia (which is a country in Europe, so not really a great example of "systematic bias") have to do with systematic bias against women? You're again throwing whatever you can conjure up against the wall in the hope some of it sticks. Even if you don't like it, systematic bias is not a valid reason to accept an article which fails to meet basic criteria (such as not being a mere compilation of statistics, or not being a mere collation of routine sports/news coverage). RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 01:31, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Onviously it is a valid reason, if it the stadium is in the west. :D With the same kind of sources not a single football stadium in a professional league in the west has been deleted in the whole history of Wikipedia. As said, you can check. That is systemic bias and that is a fact. 10:02, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

Need you help

[edit]

Hi there! I was reviewing the articles at NPP and noticed that some were saved from redirects by you. I thought if you could help out with finding multiple reliable sources in Serbian or any other language about the stadiums, the articles could be saved. Otherwise they will be deleted as any other without the sources - you know the rules. I tried to find sources in English, but failed. Do you think you can help with that? Best, Less Unless (talk) 16:27, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Less Unless:Hey, thanks for contacting me, but I think it is hopeless, even hundreds of sources would not convince them, if they want to delete the information. They would find hundreds excuses like not realiable, trivial, primary, terciary, COI, outdated etc.

But here you go for some bigger stadiums if you really want:

etc etc but as said, it is pointless. Good luck. Ludost Mlačani (talk) 12:24, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Serbian stadiums

[edit]

Hi, it's no problem, I'm writing articles about sports venues on polish Wikipedia for years, sometimes I had to defend second level stadiums before deletion, but it never was a problem with the top level, that's why I found it weird to see this deletion discussions and this policy to keep strongly demanding sources for notability like an article in some magazine and completely ignoring the simple fact that being top level venue makes the arena much more notable, and that this is much better method to estimate whether it should have an article or not. I still hope, that in the future it will just become a rule on en-wiki, that top level stadiums should have its own articles, so we won't see such discussions anymore.
