Speedy deletion of "CTX (An online platform that supports and operates spot exchanges in multiple global environmental commodity markets)"

[edit]

A page you created, CTX (An online platform that supports and operates spot exchanges in multiple global environmental commodity markets), has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Crisis.EXE 08:55, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CTX (An online platform that supports and operates spot exchanges in multiple global environmental commodity markets), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Martina ctx. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 14:26, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Are you somebody named Martina, or are you (as your userpage asserts) Wayne Sharpe, head of the CTX? --Orange Mike | Talk 03:08, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am Martina. I am finding this procedure really difficult.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.219.99.62 (talkcontribs)

If you are Martina ctx, you need to sign on. If you are somebody named Martina, then the other person's name should not be on your userpage, which is where you tell us about yourself and what you hope to accomplish here.
If you are a CTX employee, then please read this guidance on best practices for editors with a conflict of interest. It may answer many of your questions, as well as explaining some of the things you've been doing wrong. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:27, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok thanks. Will read now and hope that I can make this page a reality!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Martina ctx (talkcontribs)

Sign your posts, please, even here

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:34, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Martina ctx. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Wayne Sharpe, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Wayne Sharpe to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, MaxineBangs (talk) 07:19, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Wayne Sharpe

[edit]

Hello Martina ctx,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wayne Sharpe for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. MaxineBangs (talk) 07:20, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Wayne Sharpe Image.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 07:35, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Wayne Sharpe Image.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Wayne Sharpe Image.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 07:37, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Wayne Sharpe

[edit]

Hello, I see you've made further edits after I helped you. Remember that since you're Wayne Sharpe's P.A, you making edits to the page mean that there's a conflict of interest and this may result in the page being removed or tagged. MaxineBangs (talk) 08:41, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is someone able to edit? Or how to delete changes if they cannot be approved? Martina_ctx (talk)

I don't understand why you've edited it even after you knew it was a conflict of interest. It sounds completely promotional now and it's not the type of content that should be on Wikipedia. This website is an encyclopaedia, not somewhere to promote your boss. MaxineBangs (talk) 12:13, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What I provided was from an editor from Marketswiki. Considering it was created by an editor from another wiki provider, I thought that this would be acceptable.Martina_ctx (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.219.99.62 (talk) 02:09, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is Marketswiki? If you've paid someone to edit the page that is also against Wikipedia policies since you didn't claim it. MaxineBangs (talk) 05:53, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Marketswiki is an encyclopedia, similar system to Wikipedia. You do not pay people. I have no relationship with the person who edited the content. Like you, they are an external person.Martina_ctx (talk)

I've put the article up for a deletion discussion to get other editors opinions on the matter, you can also state why it should be kept. There is a link below this post. MaxineBangs (talk) 06:03, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Wayne Sharpe

[edit]

Hello, Martina ctx,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Wayne Sharpe should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wayne Sharpe .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, MaxineBangs (talk) 06:00, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
