The article James W. Allen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This person doesn't appear to meet the criteria for inclusion in WP:BIO and WP:WINEMAKER. Seems to have local coverage only. Competition seems to be a non-notable event with local entries rather than international. This seems like a memorial article; see the policy WP:NOTMEMORIAL.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:20, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want this article to be kept, it would serve you better to present an argument for keeping it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James W. Allen rather than continuing to delete the AfD template from the article, which will get you blocked. The deletion discussion will not go away because you remove the template from the article. Consider this your final warning. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:19, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing, for a period of One Week, for Disruptive Editing; removing deletion tags from James W. Allen and ignoring repeated warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal the block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
