Hello @Doomsdayer520:
Thank you for improving the Valerii Makovetskyi article and for your message.
I will try to find and provide more evidence that Makovetskyi qualifies for a Wikipedia article. Unfortunately it may make me several days, as I am busy with my main job duties. Hope I will be able to address the issue in a week. @Mccapra: --Perohanych (talk) 17:05, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Valerii Makovetskyi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Gross gaming revenue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.lawinsider.com/dictionary/gross-gaming-revenue and https://calebci.ruplayers.com/3mig3ZyobKqGnWw/can-you-get-the-new-antidote-xvi-and-cure-krunkitis-krunker.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". • I've deleted this as a copyright violation. To respond to what you said on the talk: "I am not sure that this page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because I have used only one sentence — the definition of the subject from one source and three very short sentences from another source. And I have indicated the sources of the mentioned definitions. I am not sure, but as far as I understand, the short citations are allowed, in case the sources are indicated. Please let me know if I am not right." - Even if it is just a sentence or two and the source is cited, the content should not be copied. An exception can be made if the copied content is presented as a quote with a citation, or the content is too basic to be re-worded. I will not block you for this violation as I see it is a misunderstanding but given your history please be mindful not to do this again. If you have any further questions about copyright please ask. • Moneytrees Thank you for the explanation. On my opinion, the Gross gaming revenue is an important thing to be described on Wikipedia. Is there a place on Wikipedia, where I could ask native English speakers to re-word several sentences? --Perohanych (talk) 21:14, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Herman Galushchenko

[edit]

Hello, Perohanych,

Thank you for creating Herman Galushchenko.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

I moved the page to the common spelling of his name in English, German Galuschenko and added another source, you might like to add more biographical detail/content and sources - three would normally be required as a minimum to demonstrate notability, although as a minister of state he would be presumed notable. Thanks!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Alexandermcnabb}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Syrskyi-Butcher

[edit]

Please prove to me and the other Wikipedia editors that Politico, NYT, Washington Post, and other media are unreliable. [1]
[2] [3]
It looks like western media has a consensus that Syrskyi has a nickname - the butcher. And you are trying, under false pretenses, to cancel those edits that show your general in a non-positive color. But this is just my subjective guess. I want your answer to be based on something other than your words. Please back it up with references to what you're relying on.

P. S. MOREOVER! Ukrainian non-neutral media call Syrskyi a butcher. [4]PLATEL (talk) 02:18, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have to look for a source that Sirsky is not a butcher. Instead, you should cite neutral authoritative sources that he has the nickname butcher.
The list of publications that write about it is not enough. I suggest you read each article, and the specific paragraphs on which the statement that he supposedly has the nickname butcher is based.
You have cited three sources
  1. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/02/08/valery-zaluzhny-commander-ukraine-removed/
  2. https://www.politico.com/newsletters/national-security-daily/2024/02/08/zaluzhny-is-out-the-butcher-is-in-00140206
  3. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/08/world/europe/ukraine-russia-war-oleksandr-syrsky.html
All those tree sources are not reliable:
  1. Washington Post: is based on an opinion of a noname persons "Some Ukrainian soldiers refer to Syrsky as ..."
  2. Politico: is based on an opinion of a noname person - "a Ukrainian military captain said...", "Another person knowledgeable of Syrskyi’s operations echoed... ", "This person added...".
  3. NYT: is based on gossip "The nickname ... is now widespread in Ukraine’s Army."

Information icon

Hello Perohanych. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Oleksandr Romanyuk, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Perohanych. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Perohanych|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 16:56, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rosguill, I have never received and do not expect any direct or indirect compensation for my edits to English Wikipedia and have no COI concerning the the article mentioned.
I am not sure about the other editors of the article. But the {{Undisclosed paid}} template casts a shadow of suspicion on all editors of the article, so I don't like it on this page. Can it be replaced by a more precise template?
In addition, I personally consider the person mentioned in the article quite notable — he is very famous in Ukraine, just try to google — there are 1700+ results. --Perohanych (talk) 19:24, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
