Redaloes, the edits you keep making to this page are not in keeping with Wikipedia policies. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not allowed to present it as fact. Please find a citation for your point of view, from a reliable source, as Strikeout_Sister pointed out to you last month. Otherwise you are wasting people's time because we have to keep undoing your edits as long as you are only writing up your opinions. Ricardiana (talk) 17:11, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:PULI JOODAMU - BOARD.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 11:04, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction

[edit]
File:FourPillarGame.jpg
FourPillarGame

Naalugu Sthambhaalaata (4-pillar game) is a very funny four-player outdoor game played by the children of the past generation, until 1960's and 70's, when joint family system flourished in Andhra Pradesh. Children used to play this game in the houses called Manduva Logillu. These are very beautiful houses constructed with several wooden pillars (made of Rosewood or Teak) and an open space at the center. The game was also played outdoor in open woods. The game had lost its existence owing to the decline of joint families, urbanization, western influence, english education, change in lifestyle etc.

How to play

[edit]

At the start of the game, the danner is decided after a chain-cut (pantalu). Each of the poles is occupied by a runner (player). The objective of the runners is to shift from one pole to the other with out being captured by the danner; and the objective of the danner is to capture the runners while shifting to the poles. The blue lines indicated in the figure are the movements of the runners.

A runner (say A) leaves his pole and occupies any of the poles of the other only if the runner (say B) of the corresponding pole leaves to another pole.

There are two cases in which A is declared to be out and takes the place of the danner

  • (I)If A leaves his pole and shifts to a new pole that is occupied by the other runner, the danner quickly touches the pole (that is left by A)

(II)The danner succeedes in capturing A who is about to touch the new pole.

  • If A becomes the danner, the previous danner becomes the runner and the game is continued as long as bored up.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Naalugu sthambhaalaata, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thank you for uploading File:NaaluguSthambhaalaata.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 23:37, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TarzanX-ShameOfJane.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 10:19, 1 March 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fred the Oyster (talk) 10:19, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://appsc.ap.nic.in/html/consprov.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Thank you for uploading File:MANDUVA.JPG.

— ξxplicit 06:25, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Life Style.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — ξxplicit 06:30, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article B.R.K. Raju has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. License tagging for File:Exodus of Israelites.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Exodus of Israelites.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:06, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of B.R.K Raju, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wikibin.org/articles/b.r.k-raju.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Please do not add unsourced lists of non-notable people to this article again. Despite your edit summary when re-adding them you have not added WP:reliable sources for each individual - indeed for all but one you have not adde any source - just an occasional Wikilink to the company they work for. The one reference you supplied is not a WP:reliable source. If you cannot find independent coverage of them then they are by definition not notable and should not be listed. noq (talk) 11:11, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Redaloes. I've had to keep reverting you on Kshatriya because the information you are adding isn't sourced properly. Per our reliable sources guidelines, neither blogs nor wikis (including Wikipedia) are reliable sources. If you don't have reliable sources for that info, it can't be added.

Also, please note that continually reverting other editors is called edit warring, and isn't allowed. Instead, you need to go discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Additionally, we have a very strict rule called WP:3RR. That says that if you revert the actions of another editor more than 3 times in 24 hours, you will be blocked. Please stop reverting (yes, I know you're adding info, but because it's being done repeatedly, it may be considered reverting), and then come to Talk:Kshatriya and see if we can find a way to get that information sourced properly. A tag has been placed on Nagamani (Cobra Pearl) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Hi. When you recently edited West Godavari district, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Adams Bridge Shoal between India and Srilanka.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 10:32, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Kshatriya, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:17, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Dhanunjaya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Madhuric (talk) 06:53, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rajus

[edit]

Please do not remove well-sourced and discussed statements as you have recently done at Rajus. You may not be aware that there are sanctions in place for such articles and these pretty much make it necessary for contributors to discuss such sourced statements before removal. I add the template informing you of the sanctions below. - Sitush (talk) 12:08, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Raju. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You were also removing sourced content from the article without discussion. Please pay careful attention to the sanctions warning above, and discuss any contested changes on the article Talk page and get a consensus before you try to make them again - further edit-warring to reinstate your changes will most likely result in your being blocked from editing. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:50, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for repeatedly removing sourced content without discussion, as you did at Raju. Some one has deleted or mostly deleted this article. I have gathered information on games by visiting many places and written the description for every game. I want to know why the person has deleted the content for no reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redaloes (talkcontribs) 05:52, 12 April 2012‎

It looks like it has been turned into a stub because there were no sources for any of the games (see the summary in the article history). Wikipedia articles need to be supported by reliable sources, and cannot be based on personal research. If you can find sources that support the descriptions of any of the games, those individual games can be reinstated. I can make a userfied copy of the article for you to work on in your user space, if you would like that. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:59, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Boing!, What do you mean by source? A source is any material which is helpful to post another new material. Internet or Wikipedia will not contain any source unless someone like you or me upload it. Infact Internet lacks thousands of sources. For your kind information, this article is not my personal research and I have not written rules of playing games on my own. I took many pains to post this article. So this article will act as a source to whoever post their articles. Still if you do not agree, I will be pleased if you post the sources that you know.

Everything on WP needs to be able to be verifiable by citing a reliable source. See WP:V and WP:RS. SÆdontalk 06:26, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes indeed. Wikipedia is not intended to be a source of new information itself - as an encyclopedia, it can only summarize information that is already out there in reliable sources. So if you want to develop the article, you will need to find reliable sources that support anything you want to add to it. SÆdon has given you links to the most relevant policy guidelines. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:12, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
PS: As I say, if you believe you can find suitable sources for the article, I'll be happy to provide a copy of the earlier version in your userspace for you, so you can work on it. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:15, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-English sources

[edit]

You appear to be using quite a few non-English sources, as at Dhananjaya (gotra) where I have just reverted you. There is nothing wrong with using such sources provided that you are aware of the provisions at WP:NOENG and are prepared to do the necessary work. In India-related articles we are having a quite significant problem due to Indic sources being used that are of uncertain veracity and reliability, and then we find it difficult to check them because the contributor who added the things has become inactive. A lot are effectively self-published sources by caste associations (samitis, mahasabhas etc). Yes, this extra burden is a systemic problem but I really see no other way round it than to ask for more information, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 14:40, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid that I have reverted you again at the article. We cannot use other articles on Wikipedia as sources for information - please see WP:CIRCULAR. Nor, for example, is kshatriyas.org a reliable source. One of your other additions was another non-English source, and the items that you added to the external links section were contrary to our attitude regarding such links. - Sitush (talk) 10:13, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And I have had to do it again. I can find nothing to indicate that Buddharaju Varahala Raju is a reliable source and, in fact, he seems not to be widely published or cited etc. - Sitush (talk) 11:13, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And again, I am afraid. The same issues as previously, and in addition you are not fully citing some of the sources. For example, you should provide details of the publisher, page number etc when citing a book. Taking a look at WP:Citing sources may not be a bad thing. - Sitush (talk) 08:09, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. People are outlining problems to you, above, but you are not responding to them and instead appear to be carrying on doing the same disputed things. We work by collegial interaction here, and if someone disputes the edits you are making, you need to stop and discuss the issues being raised. Continuing to ignore what people are saying to you and carrying on without discussion can lead to blocks, and I don't want that to happen, as I'm sure your intentions here are positive. World Organisation of Rajputs

[edit]

I have yet again removed your insertion of a link to the World Organisation of Rajputs, principally on the grounds of weighting issues. There are numerous Rajput organisations, some of which are affiliated to this body and others that are not. If we show the WOR then we are going to have to permit listing of all the others. Since Wikipedia is neither a directory nor a webhost for promotional content, it is easier to deny all. That way, every group gets a "fair hearing", being no hearing at all. - Sitush (talk) 07:33, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BRK Raju, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is your final warning for any form of disruption, including but not limited to copyright violations, repeated recreation of articles after they were deleted, original research or POV edits etc. You will be blocked the next time any of this happens as you have received more than sufficient warnings but do not bother to discuss with other editors or correct your behavior. —SpacemanSpiff 08:06, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:S.obvallata.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

I have had to revert you again, this time for these edits at Dhananjaya (gotra). Please can you confirm that you have read WP:RS, and please can you explain why it is that you consider the source that you cited to be appropriate, bearing in mind that policy, the lack of a full citation and WP:NOENG. - Sitush (talk) 12:40, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked temporarily from editing for continuing with the same problems. You are not listening to what people are telling you about reliable sources, not learning from you experience, but above all you are not responding to people and are not discussing anything. We can try to solve all of those things, but only if you address the last one yourself - you need to talk to people when your additions are disputed, discuss the issues on the article talk page and seek consensus, and respond when you get messages here on your talk page. This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Raju, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sitush (talk) 17:24, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for failing to listen to repeated explanations of the need for proper sourcing for additions to Wikipedia articles, and for other violations of policies. This indefinite block is not necessarily permanent, but will remain in place until you listen to what you are being told and convince us that you do understand it and will act on it. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • While blocked, I strongly recommend you read all of the explanations you have been given on this talk page, and read the policy pages that you have been given links to before. In particular, you need to read and understand WP:N, WP:V, WP:RS, WP:BLP, WP:OR, and WP:COPYVIO - you have been violating these policies repeatedly for around three years now, and it has to stop. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:37, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh, and I should also say that a lot of this could have been avoided if you had just responded here and communicated with us - but if you repeatedly ignore us and refuse to partake in any discussion here, then we have no alternative but to stop you editing until you do start communicating. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:43, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Boing! I was not trying to violate wiki rules. I was trying to correct the content which was community biased and misdirecting the readers. You may not be knowing this. My content is having genuine referrences. I will be thankful to you if you unblock my account. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redaloes (talkcontribs) 06:38, 3 August 2012‎

Wikipedia's policy on requiring reliable sources for changes you wish to make is not negotiable, especially if they are in any way contentious. You have a long history here of making changes without providing proper sources, and despite your claim that you provided genuine references, your latest changes to Raju (to choose an example) added lots of new content without providing any references at all. If you wish to be unblocked, you need to follow the instructions in the block notice - but if you want to be successful, you must address your own problematic editing and convince an admin that you properly understand the relevant policies and will abide by them in future. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:27, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"rameshraju 09:43, 4 September 2012 (UTC)" This is Redaloes. Please unblock my account. I understood that I should not touch any article written by others.

Redaloes, that doesn't solve the problem at all. First all of, all articles on Wikipedia are open to be written by anyone. Starting an article doesn't give anyone control over it. Second, even on an article you create yourself, the requirements for verification of sources are still in effect. All of the rules we've been referring you to apply everywhere in Wikipedia. It seems to me that you haven't taken the time to actually read any of those rules. Please do so. If you're willing to commit to following them, then perhaps an unblock could be considered. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:56, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redaloes, you have been breaking a number of Wikipedia policies repeatedly for quite some time now, and your request here suggests that you still do not understand what the problems are. What I think you should do, at the very least, is give us an explanation of what you understand Wikipedia's WP:N and WP:RS policies to mean, as they seem to be the ones giving you the most problems. I'm not sure if that would be enough for an unblock, but it would be a start - and I think it is what we would need as a minimum. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:04, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear sir ... please tell me how to produce referrences, in two to three lines, in simplest language. I could not understand sentence complexity of wikipedia rules. If not I cannot contribute any article for English Wikipedia, and I'll be quitting perminently.

Hi, I think that before worrying about how to produce citations, you need to address the issues raised by Boing! said Zebedee, ie: "at the very least, [...] give us an explanation of what you understand Wikipedia's WP:N and WP:RS policies to mean, as they seem to be the ones giving you the most problems." No-one wants to see people leave Wikipedia but there are limits to what can be tolerated. Demonstrating that you can read and understand our policies is as basic a starting point as anyone can reasonably expect. Best wishes. - Sitush (talk) 03:27, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission

[edit]

The article Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This commission appears to be in charge of personnel for state jobs in AP (which you have to read halfway through the article to find out in a one-liner). Mostly, as written, it's a legislative history of the body, with minutia about which laws govern it. There does not seem to be anything useful or encyclopedic about this "article" on just another government agency, any more than the literally millions of other state and local government agencies in the world for which we have no articles.

Google News has only two hits for it and, while Google Books shows 1500 hits, most seem to be periodic reports from itself or other Indian government agencies. While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:AnimatedFloweringPlant.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:47, 15 February 2021 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --TheImaCow (talk) 12:47, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
