From the discussions at the Template:Same-sex unions, for Marriage Equality that requires Royal Assent, it gets added after Royal Assent. I agree that QEII has given Royal Assent to half a dozen other British Overseas Territories. And from the discussion there, most of the editors on that template are definitely pro Marriage Equality, they just want accuracy and consistency. And figuring out Same-sex marriage in Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha is even more fun!Naraht (talk) 15:38, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to East Midlands Railway, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your edit looks like an unattributed copy-paste from EMT article, not updated for EMR. Copy-paste requires attribution, see WP:Copying within Wikipedia. The material relating to EMT and the past would need updating to refer, where relevant, to EMR and the present., & remove material not relevant. Your signature

Please don't use falsified timestamps in your signature, as you did here, here, and here. In each case the timestamp is approximately one hour later than the true time of your edit, and it also lacks a time zone indicator. Invalid timestamps such as these can defeat the action of certain bots and scripts. If you sign using four tildes, not three, the timestamp will be genuine and valid. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Tristan da Cunha into Communications in Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 22:00, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to the train service from Barton-on-Humber to Cleethorpes that is to transfer from Northern to EMR, your edits to pages effected by the change were made before the timetable change had happened and thus I had to revert the edits.

Marking changes as minor

[edit]

Information icon Hi Richardh1976! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Alfreton railway station that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. --Rocknrollmancer (talk) 23:31, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 06:14, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Watford Miniature Railway

[edit]

I just reverted your addition of a reference to Watford Miniature Railway because you put the reference inside a section heading. Inline references should typically be placed after punctuation - see WP:REFPUNC. Also, don't use bare URLs, use proper formatting, e.g. with the {{cite web}} template. Finally, try not to use primary sources - or at least back them up with other reliable sources WP:RS - see WP:PRIMARY. Feel free to add the reference back in a more appropriate position and formatted correctly. 10mmsocket (talk) 23:21, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 22:37, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on MV Commodore Goodwill requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from condorferriesfreight.co.uk/our-fleet. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
