Some pointers
[edit]Great to have you on board! Some pointers: if there are synonyms, could you make a re-direct to the main article? Let me know if you don't know how. Furthermore, the second part of the binomial name is in small letters. And last but not least, I didn't know this, but someone pointed out that if the authors name is in brackets, you should leave it like that. That means that he originally placed it in another genus. Cheers and happy article creating! Ruigeroeland (talk) 18:56, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- It is very simple. Copy the synonym and paste it in the search box. You get a search result screen which should say that there are no exact matches. You see the text "You may create the page..." Click on the red link, which is the synonym you just searched on. You get an empty page. Click on the button #R. You get the following text #REDIRECT Target page name
Now put the name of the main article between the brackets replacing "Target page name". Now hit save and you're done! Ruigeroeland (talk) 08:36, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
