Welcome!

Hi Slothwizard! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.

As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

Alternatively, the contributing to Wikipedia page covers the same topics.

If you have any questions, we have a friendly space where experienced editors can help you here:

Happy editing!

I also have noticed that your edits to Alcohol (drug) often did not use an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks!

Thank you for your work so far, and I hope to see you around the encyclopedia! EducatedRedneck (talk) 11:55, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edit marking

[edit]

Thank you for contributions to various articles ont he topics of psychology and psychiatry. Please keep in mind, however, that edits should only be marked as minor when they are correcting obvious vandalism or a typographical error, regardless of the number of words altered. When edits are marked as minor, they generally do not appear in the watchlist for others to review. Kind regards, Димитрий Улянов Иванов (talk) 11:22, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, that is my bad. I did know this but must have not been paying close enough attention. Thanks for your comment. I also did not know about the watchlist so that’s good to know. Slothwizard (talk) 18:31, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help?

[edit]

Thanks for your work on Addiction and related articles. Would you be willing to lend a hand with a little project? Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine is trying to get at least one ref into every medicine-related article. The list is getting shorter, but we've still got a bit more than 100 to go, and the Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles/Backlog drives/November 2024 ends in just less than a week. If you could add a source to even one or two of them, it would really help us out. Here's how to help:

  1. Pick an article from the list. Most of them are organizations, people, or other subjects that do not require any specialized medical knowledge.
  2. Find at least one reliable source and add it to the article.
  3. Remove or update any maintenance tags at the top of the article.
  4. Edit the list to mark off the item or leave some notes about it so the next person will know that this one is done. (Try editing the page in the visual editor, because it's much easier for tables.)
  5. That's all!

Also, if you ever need help with medicine-related articles, please feel free to put Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine on your watchlist, and to join the discussion whenever you'd like. Thanks, WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:56, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
