Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Dantherm, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Dantherm and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pointillist (talk) 12:59, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rescuing Dantherm

[edit]

I've replied to your message on the Dantherm talk page. If you are planning to improve the article, you might want to add {{hang on}} to the second line of the article, just under {{db-promo}}. This might not be enough to delay deletion though, so I suggest you also save a copy of the text on your PC. If it gets deleted before you have a chance to copy the text, ask an admin to "userfy" it for you. Good luck - Pointillist (talk) 17:36, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see the article has now been deleted as "G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion", which means the talk page has gone too. Here's the advice I posted there, in case it is helpful. - Pointillist (talk) 17:07, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Probably the best starting point is Wikipedia's "Company Notability" guideline, which says "A company is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. A single independent source is almost never sufficient for demonstrating the notability of an organization." So I suggest you try to find sources that talk about Dantherm. The "site" parameter in a Google search is helpful here, because you can probably guess which publications are reliable and might write about Dantherm. For example, you could Google "Dantherm site:borsen.dk" to find articles in Dagbladet Børsen. Of course, you might also find a lot of minor statistics about Dantherm's share price – which almost certainly wouldn't be sufficiently "in depth" coverage to support notability. I don't think Carlsberg Group is a very good example. A better one might be A. P. Moller-Maersk Group, which cites The Economist, Fortune, BusinessWeek and respected industry-specific publications like the Alphaliner newsletter. Hope this helps. - Pointillist (talk) 17:32, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
