Willis Hall

[edit]

Tim:

I have just reverted the Wikipedia entries for "Wills Hall" and for "Hiatt Baker Hall" to your latest versions of 24/3/2006, so as to remove vandalism by another user. Perhaps I may ask you re-check these articles to ensure they are now in reasonable condition, and to ensure that you agree with my removal of the subsequent changes as inappropriate.

Incidentally, I was a resident of Hiatt Baker Hall about 35 years ago, as an undergraduate student at the university...

Best wishes.

Picture of memorial

[edit]

Hi, I am currently working on translating the article about the battle to Norwegian, would be nice to have this picture [1] there, could you upload it to Commons? If you do, please place a message here with the link and I will use it on the Norwegian articlee about the battle. Same goes for the picture of Spion Kop itself. Cathedral of Toledo

[edit]

i'm working on translating this article from the spanish wiki (WikiProject:Spanish Translation), and trying to make the english article resemble the spanish one. to do this i not only translated but also did some re-arranging sections and adding links. the spanish wiki also has a few 'main articles' for the Cathedral article's sections. i saw you created one of these main articles for the Transparente last year, but not much has been added since and it's still a stub. since the cathedral's section has the same info and is longer, i was thinking of deleting your 'main article' (the spanish wiki doesnt have an equivalent main article for it anyhow). but i did want to create main article equivalents for other sections. let me know what you think about these 2 ideas. i saw you're more into literature so you might not mind 1 way or the other. but in case you still have the Transparente at the bottom of your to-do list, i can take care of it for you. i'll come back to see what you think. Image source problem with Image:HOWills3.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:HOWills3.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:29, 21 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chris.B (talk) 11:29, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: Image:Summer (14).jpg

[edit]

Image:Summer (14).jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:Image:UoB Wills warden lodge.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[Image:UoB Wills warden lodge.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 22:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Tim giddings. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pen Dal-aderyn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Welsh. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:22, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
