Community development block

[edit]

Community development blocks are administrative divisions in several of the Indian states and has nothing to do with the party in power. The administrative division is similar to district or subdivision - only it is much smaller. It is explained in Community development block in India. As in railway station pages it is an essential suffix, clarifying what the page carries. Dropping the suffix would only lead to confusion. Each assembly constituency, say Basirhat Dakshin (Vidhan Sabha constituency), has one or more community development blocks as part of it. The census of each community development block is taken separately, along with that of census towns. The community development blocks are often named after the place where the Head Quarters are located. Till now these places were too small to have a separate page and were part of the community development block. Now with growing urbanization, many of there HQ localities will emerge as census towns and have separate entries. I am anxiously waiting for 2011 census declarations for community development blocks and census towns, and the impact can be felt once the census results come out. Cheers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 12:07, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

First my apologies for the long delay in responding. Actually, I was finding it difficult to make up my mind. Now, I have made up mind that Community development blocks that do not follow Wikipedia rules for naming may by renamed. You may go ahead and change them. Advance thanks for all the trouble you will be taking. Thanks also for handling the issue with extreme patience. Cheers. Chandan Guha (talk) 12:38, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

September 2015

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Kempegowda International Airport. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. By just adding a comment on the article talk page does not mean a consensus has been created. You are just unilaterally deciding the outcome! Whether you update the map or not, it is absolutely useless, so stop doing it. Go through this. I will have to report you if you continue to revert.  LeoFrank  Talk 17:57, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of toilet paper on toilet seat

[edit]

I have moved your photo of toilet paper on a toilet seat to the article on public toilet as it fits better there (nobody would do this at his/her toilet at home).EvMsmile (talk) 02:51, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Murdeshwar

[edit]

Respected Sir, I saw on Wikipedia Murudeshwara page that you had earlier participated in editing my hometown Murdeshwar. I request you to revisit the page and provide your expert comments about my new posting on the talk page of Murdeshwar. I am new to Wikipedia and do not know how to contact members for getting help. It is my earnest request to all experienced members of Wikipedia to help me in getting back the correct spelling of my home town. In my humble opinion, a mistake made by the first author should not be allowed to carry forward. Please take some time out of your busy schedule and help us.

redirection of Paletwa Township to Paletwa

[edit]

Hi, you've been redirecting Paletwa Township to Paletwa; I'd recommend to leave it as it was before because the township articles usually describe the area while the town itself should IMHO be described separate . Note also that there are two different wikidata entries for both items (wikidata:Q3823272 and wikidata:Q7127461). --katpatuka (talk) 13:58, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
