Considering that there's not much between both countries relations, I have no choice but to delete the article Underdwarf58 (talk) 16:01, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Nevermind, I'm more used to Wikipedia's mobile screen than PC screen. I thought that the extended-protected sign being there means that I still can't edit. Thanks a lot Tollens. I appreciate your help. Underdwarf58 (talk) 06:09, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

LDC map

[edit]

Dear Underdwarf58 (talk · contribs), thank you for creating an updated version of the LDC map. Actually, another way of doing it is to update the existing map, by downloading it, editing it in text format and uploading a new version (I just did it). It is not an issue though: now the community can choose between two colour schemes.

You're welcome. The reason why I couldn't do what you said is because I triggered Special:AbuseFilter/290 doing so and I haven't made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits in commons. Underdwarf58 (talk) 12:58, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay

[edit]

Your message was fine. No need to remove it. To clarify, the only objective of the edit was to fix the URL. The pertinent information is just a row in the table in the annex of the document, so it's not really quotable material. Also, it's information from 3 countries about another country. I don't know whether it is accurate. Reverting your edit doesn't tell you anything about what I thought of your edit. But I can tell you that I verified that the URL you removed did not work if that helps. Using undo was the safest way to avoid my messing up the article. The link seems to be okay now. The UN document system is not great. Sean.hoyland (talk) 15:34, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!

[edit]

Hi! How are you! I hope that you are okay. I guessed if you can create a new map for the article (latest UN article on resolution) — United Nations General Assembly Resolution ES-10/24 Thank you, and I hope to not have bothered you :-) CoryGlee (talk) 10:51, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
