Jew Fro dispute
[edit]Where, based on what do u have the ability to say that one encyclopedia is more credible than the other? I was wondering who made you the final say on the reliabilty of every web encyclopedia there is? 24.187.38.113 03:53, 13 January 2006 (UTC)AlexKovalev
This discussion has been continued the Jewfro article's talk page
Well, u stated pretty conclusively that one site is more credible than the other; when it was chnaged you reverted it back...it would appear to me that you only wish to present what YOU deem relevant...I think it is clear that the sentence you put in has no relevance to a Jew-fro whatsoever. Jewfro and Afro are types of hairstyles, which aren't the same, so why would they be merged or even mentioned on each other's pagers? As a metaphor, Buick and Hyundai are two types of automobiles, do you feel there is a need to merge them together, or is it clear they are two different things? Please enlighten me as to how you came to the conclusion that Website A is "more credible" than Website B; If you can not substantiate that claim with sufficient proof then i respectfully ask that you refrain from removing the reference from the Urban Encyclopedia. As a side note, I too would like to remind you of Wikipedia:Civility. 22:03, 13 January 2006 (UTC)PeterPiper
The fact that one other person thinks that Jew-Fro should be kept in itself means that it should have a page...I don't undertsnd why you or anyone is so against it being on it's own page. It is not like money is coming out of your pocket for it to be on its own page. By your logic Afro should not be its own page but rather it should be merged into the hairstyle page(if there is one)...Do not move it from its page again because it will obviously lead to a never ending circle...
Oh you think stand alone? That is good...Obviously you and several others are in cahoots, but dont worry the safeguards WP has in place will only serve as a slight deterrant. the actions of you and your co-conspirators do not go unnoticed and the fat that you rigged an AFD page is not sufficient for me and my associates to relent. There are innumerable articles shorter than Jewfro, including hundreds, probably thousands which are only two sentences long. Get off your high horse because as someone said to you earlier you are giving Wikipedia a Black eye with your unjust and unwarranted censorship. You are welcome for the reply
My messages to the anon (who was User:Whoermaster) are on his/her talk page. The end result was this discussion was that Whoermaster gave up and the AFD decision was left abided by.

WS:JS / External Editor
[edit]Hello, I was just wondering if the External Editor script you put on WP:JS is the latest version.
You'll see. Suppose I go to User:Driniand click on the [ee] tab it shows. It than asks me "Opening User-Drini which is a PHP file from http://..." etc. I choose my fav external editor and it shows this:

Uhh, Tim is asking people to vandalize his page: http://www.cad-forums.com/showthread.php?t=52434 because people keep doing it anyway.
I didn't see anyone doing anything when people were posting that Tim Buckley was a drunk and and a jerk to his fans.

Another Esperanzial note...
[edit]Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.
Yours, as ever, Esperanzially,

Change made to Austell, Georgia
[edit]Hey, I've been trying to add that info. because it is true. I come from the Austell family and am upset that you keep deleting the little info. that I want to add. Austell, Georgia was named after the Austell family and Austell does mean "from the east." You can check it out for yourself on Goggle. Stop being a jerk and let me add it.

Spreadsheets and Word Processors in List of open source software packages
[edit]Hey, thanks for checking. They are somewhat tangentally listed, yes (in that some are part of larger office suite efforts). Gnumeric and Abiword, in particular, are fairly independent & stand-alone efforts. Yes, they are part of the relatively new "Gnome Office," but that doesn't mean much practically & they're individual pages are more relevant/notable. Similarly, one may download KWord and KSpread separately from KOffice. I have no strong feelings on the OO.o products, as they're not stand-alone (but each MS Office component is filed under a subcat). I think that special cats for F/OSS spreadsheets and word processors would be useful, as it allows for expansion (see List of word processors for a few F/OSS apps that people consider to be word processors that aren't in the office suite cat). --Karnesky 14:49, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

207.153.112.7 Explanation
[edit]Hi, you recently warned the IP address 207.153.112.7 for vandalism, a second offense. I'd like to request that we not be suspended for this vandalism because we are the Harvard-Westlake School, and being banned for one student seems unfair. We'll try to make sure this doesn't happen again, but please don't make us suspended because this is a regular school resource. Thanks again, sorry about the vandalism.

jewfro
[edit]hey, hows it going...the 1 millionth article on wikipedia is about a train station for god's sake, and you have a problem with whether or not a clearly relevant term should have ITS own page? since you clearly know how to maneuver this site, i think you should set up the vote on the jewfro page and we will see where it goes from there...thanks!
Two Questions
[edit]Hi, I have two questions that I need answered, since I'm trying to do the whole patrolling thing too:
1) How can I view the edits of only the people who don't have a username? As in, only the people who use their IP address? This would be very helpful.
2) (Might be better for a mod, actually, but I'll ask here anyway) What happens if I am browsing on a computer whose IP is banned, and I sign in? Can I make edits, even though it is coming from the banned IP?
Thanks, if I'm asking at the wrong place please tell me where to go.
Sincerely, Charle

jew-fro
[edit]hey pal, jew-fro is different from jewfro in the estimation of many, so don't make any attempt to erase the page and simply put a redirect to afro becausre that would clearly be a violation of WP:vandalism...so if you think that THIS phrase is a neologism or something else, i suggest you put it up for a vote...otherwise, dont be a vandal, it's not becoming, and vandals such as yourself have done nothing to further wikipedia's name and credibilty, you've only sullied it. thanks---mr self righteous
jew-fro
[edit]"from the very beginning"....beginning of what? time? the vote for deletion pertained to the article and word "jewfro", not jew-fro...if u have a problem with this phrase, then i suggest ptting it to a vote...vandal
anti semitism
[edit]im beginning to wonder if your fight against Jewfro or jew-fro is based on anti semitism...not saying that it is, but i am just wondering because there are several other pages i've seen that dont seem to have much relevance, including th 1,000,000th WP article, which is about a train station...why don't you try to get that removed? or do u feel a train station is relevant or historical or otherwise noteworthy? You've already proven yourself to be a vandal, so i hope you aren;t an anti-semite in addition to that.
- No. Actually, I am Jewish. Where (talk) 20:14, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
fair enough
[edit]you are a vandal because you are altering works with which u do not agree...u did not answer my question as to why you havent protested the train station/1 millionth article...i am rather curious about that...and interestingly, u should know the phrase "the jew makes the best anti-semite", so therefore the fact that u are jewish does not absolve you totally from my suspicion that you may very well be an anti semite...thank you for putting this article to a vote

Maze Clays
[edit]Please explain how do you see the Maze Clays article as an ad. The entry states clearly the creators of the new shotgun discipline and also the main characteristics. It does not describe benefits or other selling points / difference over the existing games.
Maze Clays - not notable
[edit]This is a quote from the notable page: "The word notable is often used as a synonym of "unique" or "newsworthy."
To explain, Maze Clays is unique because it uses a new system of operating the shotgun sport. Besides that it has a new classification and no registered targets are are necessary, two new, unique things which don't currently exist.
Second, it is newsworthy. We have been filmed by the Comcast channnel CSS and will be airing in the following weeks. We are in talks with other media sources who are interested to feature Maze Clays.
