- Delete per nomination - as I mentioned elsewhere, I am surprised that playing in a UEFA Cup first round match is not a notability clause in the WP:NFOOTBALL, as it is past the qualifiers (which contain a lot of minnow teams and thus I can fully see why those wouldn't be notable) and is in a major tournament. Comment - in the last AfD (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rihards Gorkšs), it was determined that the article passed WP:ATHLETE (I think it does). Jogurney (talk) 23:20, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL. There is long-standing consensus at WP:FOOTY that playing in a professional competition for a semi-pro team does not confer notability. GiantSnowman 15:07, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - consensus can change. I believe that the First Round proper of the UEFA cup is the equivalent of the play-off round of UEFA Europa League. Nevertheless, as GiantSnowman points out: there is a long-standing consensus that playing in a match between two teams from fully pro leagues confer notability, which means that this player is not notable as he never played in a fully pro league. Also fails WP:GNG. Mentoz86 (talk) 20:22, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
