(d) COMPLIANCE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS.—Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect or limit the application of, or any obligation to comply with, any environmental law, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (42 U.S.C. 9601 et seq.) and the Solid Waste Disposal Act (42 U.S.C. 6901 et seq.). (e) TREATMENT OF CASH CONSIDERATION RECEIVED.—Any cash payment received by the United States as consideration for the conveyance under subsection (a) shall be deposited in the special account in the Treasury established under subsection (b) of section 572 of title 40, United States Code, and shall be available in accordance with paragraph (5)(B) of such subsection. (f) DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY.—The exact acreage and legal description of the parcel of real property to be conveyed under this section shall be determined by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary of the Interior. (g) ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.—The Secretary making the conveyance under subsection (a) may require such additional terms and conditions in connection with the conveyance as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States. SEC. 2842. LAND CONVEYANCE, FORT KNOX, KENTUCKY. (a) CONVEYANCE AUTHORIZED.—The Secretary of the Army may convey, without consideration, to the Department of Veterans Affairs of the Commonwealth of Kentucky (in this section referred to as the ‘‘Department’’) all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to a parcel of real property, including any improve- ments thereon, consisting of approximately 194 acres at Fort Knox, Kentucky, for the purpose of permitting the Department to establish and operate a State veterans home and future expansion of the adjacent State veterans cemetery for veterans and eligible family members of the Armed Forces. (b) REVERSIONARY INTEREST.—If the Secretary determines at any time that the real property conveyed under subsection (a) is not being used in accordance with the purpose of the conveyance specified in such subsection, all right, title, and interest in and to the property shall revert, at the option of the Secretary, to the United States, and the United States shall have the right of immediate entry onto the property. Any determination of the Secretary under this subsection shall be made on the record after an opportunity for a hearing. (c) PAYMENT OR COSTS OF CONVEYANCE.— (1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall require the Depart- ment to cover costs to be incurred by the Secretary, or to reimburse the Secretary for costs incurred by the Secretary, to carry out the conveyance under subsection (a), including costs related to environmental documentation and other administrative costs. This paragraph does not apply to costs associated with the environmental remediation of the property to be conveyed. (2) TREATMENT OF AMOUNTS RECEIVED.—Amounts received as reimbursements under paragraph (1) shall be credited to the fund or account that was used to cover the costs incurred by the Secretary in carrying out the conveyance.
