Meal'r, estate. requirements: Provided,That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any con- tract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved July 29, 1946. [CHAPTER 696] AN ACT For the relief of the Maryland Sanitary Manufacturing Corporation of Baltimore, Maryland. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the Maryland Sanitary Manufacturing Corporation of Baltimore, Maryland, the sum of $374,755, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for losses sustained in the manufacture of magnesium sand castings for Government contractors engaged in the manufacture of fighting, training, and transport airplanes for use by the Army Air Forces in the prosecution of the war, the said losses having been occasioned primarily by reason of the cor- poration's reliance upon representations and assurances made in good faith by agents of the Government but which were not fulfilled: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. [CHAPTER 697] AN ACT For the relief of the estate of Jasper A. Mealer. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the estate of Jasper A. Mealer, deceased, the sum of $7,500, in full settlement of all claims against the United States on account of the death of Jasper A. Mealer on December 14,1944, when he was struck by a P-38 Army airplane of the United States Army, near College Park, Georgia: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any con- tract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000.
