[edit]Borrowed from Aramaic רֵישָׁא / ܪܝܫܐ (rēšā, “head”) in the particular sense of “tip, extremity”, hence doublet of رَأْس (raʔs), whereas unrelated to رِمْش (rimš, “eyelash”), as far as we understand, see it.
