[edit]Glyph origin
[edit]Coined by Chinese empress regnant Wu Zetian. Wu Zetian chose 曌 (sometimes 瞾) as her own name after she became the empress regnant of China. 曌 and 瞾 both are variations of 照, and both were used during her regime only.
