[edit]Etymology
[edit]Noun
[edit]Holocaustreligion f (genitive Holocaustreligion, plural Holocaustreligionen)
- (derogatory, chiefly right-wing politics) Holocaust religion; a way of societal dealing with the Holocaust that is considered exaggerated, irrational, and pseudoreligious; chiefly of Germany and Austria, sometimes also of Israel and world Jewry
- Synonym: Holocaustkult

Usage notes
[edit]- The word refers only to the societal reaction to the Holocaust and does not imply anything about its historicity, though use of the word may, of course, overlap with Holocaustleugnung (“Holocaust denial”).
