Inherited from Prakrit đ‘€•đ‘„đ‘€­đ‘€œđ‘€Ż (gorĆ«va), from Sanskrit à€—à„‹à€°à„‚à€Ș (gorĆ«pĂĄ, “cow-shaped”). Cognate with Hindustani ÚŻÙˆŰ±ÙÙˆ / à€—à„‹à€°à„‚ (gorĆ«).
