- (transitive) to pass, to pass by, to go past, to overshoot
- Właśnie minąłem dużą ciężarówkę. Właśnie minęła mnie duża ciężarówka.

- Czemu Kasia nie przyszła? Minęła ją dobra zabawa.
- Why didn't Kasia come? She missed out on a good time.
- Nie martw się, nie minie ich kara za to co zrobili.
- Don't worry, they will be punished for what they did.
- (intransitive) to pass, to elapse, to go by
- Minęło dwadzieścia minut zanim przyjechała karetka.
- Twenty minutes passed before the ambulance arrived.
- Minie trochę czasu, zanim pojawią się jakieś rezultaty.
