Lee Kuan Yew[1] (Mandarinice 李光耀; litteris Tamulicis லீ குவான் இயூ) (Singapurae natus die 16 Septembris 1923; ibidem die 23 Martii 2015 mortuus) fuit scriptor et politicus Singapurensis, pater patriae a civibus habitus. Primus ille primus minister rei publicae Singapurae ab anno 1959 usque ad annum 1990 meruit. Per tria decennia, cum Lee munus publicum sustineret, Singapura, olim civitas provectibilis tantum, una ex civitatibus maxime in Asia Meridiorientali evolutis factus est.[2] Lee quidem dicebat solas civitatis opes naturales esse suos incolas roburque eorum ethicam laboris.[3][4]
