Does that mean that the category for countries should be something else than Category:Ensi (which is urrently used). Ainali (talk) 19:08, 2 Gwamunaana 2015 (UTC)[reply]

These words are commonly used interchangeably but the word "eggwanga" is more appropriate for country or nation. The word ensi is more appropriate for "earth" and "world" (In my opinion) For example the president is omukulembeze w'eggwanga, the national anthem is oluyimba lw'eggwanga. --Tonny Ineza (talk) 09:17, 3 Gwamunaana 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ugandans were hunter-gatherers until 1,700-2,300 years ago. Bantu-speaking populations, who were probably from central Africa, migrated to the southern parts of the country. These groups brought and developed iron-working skills and new ideas of social and political organisation. --Katxis (talk) 11:20, 3 Gwamunaana 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I know, however, the current state is the heir of the colonial administration. Could you pleae translate this phrases as well?

Buganda has a long and extensive history. Unified in the fourteenth century under the first king Kato Kintu, the founder of Buganda's Kintu Dynasty, Buganda grew to become one of the largest and most powerful states in East Africa during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. During the Scramble for Africa, and following unsuccessful attempts to retain its independence against British imperialism, Buganda became the centre of the Uganda Protectorate in 1894; the name Uganda, the Swahili term for Buganda, was adopted by British officials. Under British rule, many Baganda acquired status as colonial administrators, and Buganda became a major producer of cotton and coffee.

This article is about the Buganda kingdom, I think it is better to talk about both the Buganda kingdom and Uganda as a state. --Katxis (talk) 07:35, 4 Gwamunaana 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Following Uganda's independence in 1962, the kingdom was abolished by Uganda's first Prime Minister Milton Obote in 1966. Following years of disturbance under Obote and dictator Idi Amin, as well as several years of internal divisions among Uganda's ruling National Resistai.nce Movement under Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda since 1986, the kingdom was officially restored in 1993. Buganda is now a kingdom monarchy with a large degree of autonomy from the Ugandan state, although tensions between the kingdom and the Ugandan government continue to be a defining feature of Ugandan politics.

Much of the south of the country is poorly drained and heavily influenced by one of the world's biggest lakes, Lake Victoria, which contains many islands. It prevents temperatures from varying significantly and increases cloudiness and rainfall. Most important cities are located in the south, near Lake Victoria, including the capital Kampala and the nearby city of Entebbe.

Thanks for your help. --Katxis (talk) 07:38, 11 Gwamunaana 2015 (UTC)[reply]
