Repurposing empty items

edit

Please do not repurpose existing items to change their meaning as you did with bidental consonant (Q30835839). Create a new item instead. We do not know what external sites may be using Wikidata ids, and it is important not to give the same identifier two meanings. Bovlb (talk) 15:55, 5 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

How do you make redirects like that? https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikidata/Development/Entity_redirect_after_merge. And do I need to make a new item for https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q30835839&oldid=1127930508 and other items I made? --User123o987name (talk) 10:35, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
See Help:Merge for more information. Regarding the album "History", you may wish to expand History (Q65164014). Bovlb (talk) 15:11, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Removing images

edit

Hi, just leaving you a note because I removed a number of images you attached to items. I think you need to be more careful and considerate about what images you attach to items. Many of them only loosely related to the item. Not all items need images. I do see that you've made many good contributions though. BrokenSegue (talk) 16:55, 14 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@BrokenSegue: All of the images that I added were significantly related to or depicted the subject. Where is the rule that images have to depict the subject? Or where is the rule that says that images can't be a depiction of the subject in a significantly different form; inversely, images have to be a depiction of the subject in basically its original form? --User123o987name (talk) 04:54, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@User123o987name: I don't know where the rules are to be honest. But any sensible interpretation any such rule would prohibit a nude cosplay of some children's animated character being used as the image for said character. Or a literal random image to illustrate the concept of arbitrariness. What do you think the restriction on what images can be is and where did you find this written?
