Dschungelfan [stalktoy] – [cross-wiki edits]: Regarding to this action here I wanted to inform, that the requesting user is blocked for one year doe to his permanent actions against German administrators in this way, like he has done it here again through the back door, see this user blocking procedure. This is a clear cheating of his block in the German Wikipedia through the back door and should have administrative consequences here. The matter has been discussed very shortly on the German administrator's notice board, afterwards on the talk page of the admin closing the issue. The admins are of the opinion, they couldn't do anything within the WP:DE. I am of a different opinion anyway. At that time of the user blocking procedure I supported the user, but this kind of gaming the system is unacceptable (see also this discussion). A global ban should be taken into consideration for continuous hunting of German administrators despite of a one year block, for the most part exactly for the same behavior. If he won't be stopped he will continue this behavior. BTW: See also his previous actions in the second section of his talk page and the corresponding request for deletion. -- Uwe Martens (talk) 22:33, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm only seeing a block on one wiki. Why should the user be globally banned? Vermont (talk) 22:48, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- What he's doing is what we call "toxic user". He would have had the chance to prove he can work together with the community after one year, for details see the German user blocking procedure. Now he's abusing the Meta Wiki for continuing his behavior, and he did this already last year here. Anyway, I can also request for a local ban or blocking here of cause. -- Uwe Martens (talk) 22:59, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- PS: Herewith done. -- Uwe Martens (talk) 23:11, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I’m seeing no local issues on meta. Rather, their recent edits have been constructive. This issue is no where near requiring a global ban, and from evidence presented by Rschen7754 below I have my doubts that the local block is justified. Thus, I Oppose Vermont (talk) 00:34, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- After a closer look, it seems the local block is justified (community decision) and there may be an issue with their edits on meta with their edits on SRP raised on the talk page. Regardless, this issue has not yet developed to a point requiring action as drastic as a global ban. Thank you, Vermont (talk) 03:56, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- It might be justified in that sense, but that doesn't mean that the community got it right. Generally stewards have ignored requests from users that are blocked on the corresponding wiki, and while I don't like this block, I suspect that the requests should be ignored here too to be consistent. But regardless, not grounds for a global ban, which is in effect permanent (even dewiki didn't want him permanently banned, anyway.) --Rschen7754 06:10, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose Local issue, and quite candidly I suspect that he was banned from dewiki by administrators for promoting administrator accountability (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Meta:Requests_for_deletion/Archives/2017#User%3ADschungelfan%2FInaktive_Admins%2FDatum_50_Artikel for context). --Rschen7754 00:11, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Pinging Dschungelfan for comment. Vermont (talk) 00:34, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- @Rschen7754: Just FYI: Dschungelfan was banned for a year by community vote on dewiki not by administrators. --Count Count (talk) 01:01, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- This should be speedy closed. Per Global bans, the user must be "indefinitely blocked or banned on two or more projects". The user is right now blocked for 1 year only on German Wikipedia. --Rschen7754 02:24, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
